I'm pretty much basing this on Spivey saying that "NYU has a lot more admitting to do" a while ago (noting that there were far fewer admits compared to the same time last year). either that or they're going to be pulling from the WL a bunch.SybillAnnDorsett wrote:Protein, I've never needed you to be right more.proteinshake wrote:I honestly think there will be more admit waves.Nero21 wrote:First, congratulations to everybody who has gotten accepted! But for those of who haven't received any phone calls or even had a date change on our status checkers should we just give up hope or is there the possibility of any other admit wave, or being waitlisted? Thanks!

Since there are still people getting results at this point, I assume there might be more admits. I second the post that says they might be waiting on Feb scores.

To those of you still waiting, and for whom NYU is the dream/the goal/the move/etc.
Stay your ass positive. We fucking GOT this. I'm feeling it, guys. There will be another admit wave or two. I just know it.
<3 kisses to my fans and frenemies. let's continue to wait in angst and be merry. it's that, or succumb to our anxiety and lay ourselves broken on the rocks of despair!

Honestly, I think the best thing to do is just assume you're going to be waitlisted and focus on a contingency plan (if you don't already have one). It takes away a little anxiety

My contingency plan is chaining myself naked to a Washington Sq park bench and refusing to clothe myself until NYU accepts me.
That works!

April 13, 2016 was the first day of waitlists last year.
Judging by how behind they are on acceptances compared to last year, I'm not sure if this will still stand for tomorrow.
I'm still here after 6.5 months NYU, I'm ready for whatever you throw at me.

A Wednesday last year for WLs??? I'm glad I'm seeing this only now. Today would have been far less productive for me lawlzKeilz wrote:April 13, 2016 was the first day of waitlists last year.

Also at this point last year they'd already had one or two massive ding waves.

Just went DLS at Stanford, so that leaves NYU as the lone school of the 15 to which I applied that hasn't gotten back to me.

There have, but what I mean is that like, one week prior to the WL waves they did a massssssive ding wave. So we haven't seen that yet (if there is such a pattern)haley12 wrote:Have there not been ding waves yet?SybillAnnDorsett wrote:Also at this point last year they'd already had one or two massive ding waves.

Got in today, to my surprise. Is there a chance they'll match my scholly to another T14 at this point in the cycle? NY is really expensive and I can't go there if they don't help me out lol.

To calm everyone's eventual freak out, are you international?

it might be best to ask on the class of 2020 thread, as we're pretty much still waiters here.

I really want you to get in. You're the NYU stan. I've, personally, lost all hope tho. It's weirdly liberating.SybillAnnDorsett wrote:To those of you still waiting, and for whom NYU is the dream/the goal/the move/etc.
