Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Given how late they've admitted people this year (last year they stopped on 3/31) I think anything can happen.
If there are date changes this weekend, id say we have one more dls Wave of acceptances.

secondly, does anyone know why it's been such a late admitting year? like the reasons behind this whole phenomenon in general?

isn't the consensus a dearth of scores over (not including) 170 following the September/December LSATs? I think a lot of top schools found themselves waiting on feb scores.ktgjoon wrote:first of all, i just drooled out of desperation like please lordt let this be trueSybillAnnDorsett wrote:Given how late they've admitted people this year (last year they stopped on 3/31) I think anything can happen.

Well I think we should stay positive at least until tuesday of next week. We've no reason to think this was the last wave yet.ktgjoon wrote:ahh i must've missed that but that makes sense - i thought knowing the cause was gonna ease my anxiety but lol nope i'm still a wreckZipman wrote:isn't the consensus a dearth of scores over (not including) 170 following the September/December LSATs? Have to say, a tad bit cruel to change my date yesterday before today's admit wave. Wonder why some dates got changed yesterday and nothing happened?

I love the acceptance call jitters like "when I saw the New York number I...."
Mine will just be "when I saw the New York number I died. As in, I'm dead and can't attend because, well, I'm dead"

Does anyone know if NYU offers a travel stipend for their ASW?

First, congratulations to everybody who has gotten accepted! But for those of who haven't received any phone calls or even had a date change on our status checkers should we just give up hope or is there the possibility of any other admit wave, or being waitlisted? Thanks!

Just noticed there haven't been any acceptances under a 3.4 (for non-URMs) on LSN. Hard GPA floor or they just haven't gotten around to super splitters yet?

Hopefully the latter, there are definitely people with sub-3.4 GPAs who get in every year!haley12 wrote:Just noticed there haven't been any acceptances under a 3.4 (for non-URMs) on LSN. Hard GPA floor or they just haven't gotten around to super splitters yet?

Did everyone who got DLS and ASW today already get a phone call? I still haven't gotten one and I'm being too crazy and stressing that ASW was a fluke

I'm certainly hoping for the latter! I've been sitting @ UR2 for over three months now hoping that maybe they'll dip lower into the GPA pool.meemow wrote:Hopefully the latter, there are definitely people with sub-3.4 GPAs who get in every year!haley12 wrote:Just noticed there haven't been any acceptances under a 3.4 (for non-URMs) on LSN. I pray that you're right. The stress of not knowing is really affecting me, I literally check my status checker every 10 minutesproteinshake wrote:I honestly think there will be more admit waves.Nero21 wrote:First, congratulations to everybody who has gotten accepted! Thank you! And Honestly? Probably not. But I'm waiting until I find out if I get a scholarship? If it's not within 15K of Duke, I'll probably withdraw but I'd have a hard decision on my hands if they came close.texcellence wrote:congratssssss does this change your Duke plans!?Stephylynette wrote:Jclubb wrote:I went ur 3 on 4/9 and ur 4 on 4/10meemow wrote:Just to confirm, to get DLS today you had to have had a UR update yesterday right?

I haven't gotten the phone call yet either. I was second guessing myself but since I'm not alone I think maybe they just haven't gotten around to us. Does anyone know the time frame for the phone call? Do they call in the evening or even the next day?202law wrote:Did everyone who got DLS and ASW today already get a phone call?
