Re: For WUSTL Applicants
They're going to pull people who fit their need, and apparently as of now, they feel secure in their LSAT median. But that could change down the road.
Last year, the people they pulled off the waitlist at first all had good GPAs, but later in the cycle, they accepted a few LSAT splitters as well. Might not happen this year, but we're all not doomed yet.

I was high lsat-low gpa and withdrew. idk if that was the norm, though, obviously.finalaspects wrote:ditto. since they did receive too many deposits, maybe most of them were high lsat people?kswiss wrote:Well I'm feeling not good about my chances now. My GPA is shit.
Shit.
or those people who withdrew were high GPA folks.

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
Because higher LSATs are typically more "rare", I would think that more high-LSAT splitters would be Northwestern-bound. But not for the same amount of $$$ that WUSTL is throwing around, though.

haha most people aren't really afraid to lose $200 deposit, so we'll all be waiting until after June 1st (2nd deposit deadline)MissLucky wrote:noooooooo. i mean, i'm neither. i guess i just need all the mediocre candidates to withdraw?finalaspects wrote:+1kswiss wrote:All's quiet on the wustl front.

I just want a decision, wustl. An acceptance, a waitlist(eventually turned into an acceptance), either one of those two would be fine, just pleeeease give me an answer

what do you mean by high gpa- 3.6 and above? 3.7, 3.8 and above?

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
seems like so far everyone has been over 3.6GPA at the very least. meaning too many people with high LSAT's threw down deposits.hoyasaxon wrote:what do you mean by high gpa- 3.6 and above? 3.7, 3.8 and above?

finalaspects, i am sure that you can answer this: has there been more movement off the hold list, or off the WL? or is there no emerging pattern thus far, with the exception of high gpa's?

Just got in off the HL with 5k a year scholarship (165/3.8 ). Not sure what to do with myself now. I f****** love WashU, but Indiana is tuition free for me....

So apparently, the "no scholarships for waitlist/hold list people" was bologna.

5k is a pretty paltry sum of money for WUSTL. That place is expensive as fuck....JCougar wrote:So apparently, the "no scholarships for waitlist/hold list people" was bologna.

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
3k/5k a year isn't much. less than 10% scholarship. though it's probably the case that the amount is what should be expected for low lsat splitters.JCougar wrote:So apparently, the "no scholarships for waitlist/hold list people" was bologna.

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
But these people are all GPA splitters. WUSTL has historically given out little to no money to reverse splitters. The fact that these people are getting even some money means that they are in a position where they aren't over-committed scholarship-wise anymore.chicoalto0649 wrote:5k is a pretty paltry sum of money for WUSTL.
