Just think: In three weeks, we'll know if we're in at Cornell, and, we'll know the new rankings!

What were your numbers? If u don't mind sharing.see18 wrote:Not to cause alarm, but rejected today via snail mail at my parent's house after being held in December. Would've been nice to end the cycle on an up note, but oh well, at least it's over!

Numbers are in my profile. I didn't really stand a chance, so I would've preferred an outright rejection probably. This gave me some hope.

There are all these people in the regular Cornell thread who submitted in late Jan, Feb who are getting decisions (one person apparently got a DR today - Sunday). This situation has left such a bad taste in my mouth.

If you're referring to me, it might make you feel better to know my decision was to be put on the reserve list, so it's not like I really know where I stand on this.hykang wrote:There are all these people in the regular Cornell thread who submitted in late Jan, Feb who are getting decisions (one person apparently got a DR today - Sunday). Has anyone gone to visit and try and sway the admissions in your favor? If so, what was your experience like?

Yes. I went a few weeks ago. It was not worth it. They are on-edge with our group...sand87632 wrote:Has anyone gone to visit and try and sway the admissions in your favor? If so, what was your experience like?

I went in early February. It was nice to see the campus, but totally pointless from an admissions point of view (other than that they told me to keep checking my status checker because it would update when a final decision was made).sand87632 wrote:Has anyone gone to visit and try and sway the admissions in your favor? That's good to know. I was debating going while I was back East next week. If it doesn't help for admission then I'm not going to fall in love with a campus I may not get to attend.OneKnight wrote:I went in early February. Re: Cornell EA Deferred Crew
They were not overt assholes but they were pretty cold once I told them I was not an admit but an EA defer-ee. I got the sense they were surprised I was visiting, and not in a good way. I got the vibe that they had to deal with the deferred group enough and was very...exhausted by fielding our questions.
I don't think it was worth anything in the way of admissions. I might've been stupid to go - at this point I am certain Cornell is for me but am even more disheartened by likelihood of a rejection.

Any news for anyone since the smattering of EA rejections last week? I'm still at 12/14. I feel like I just keep getting stuck in the maybe pile, over and over again. Meanwhile, there are fewer spots open every day.

And the most depressing of thoughts..."if I hadn't been as excited about Cornell, I wouldn't have applied EA, and I probably would have had my decision by now."
I've been watching people get in on LSN with my numbers (or at least real decisions). It makes me sad. I'm not arrogant enough to think I deserve to get in anywhere, but sheesh.

Re: Cornell EA Deferred Crew
I'm past the whole EA regret. At this point Cornell is my last hold out (beside my large stack of WLs of course). I am really ready to move into the next stage of this. I've seen my other schools. I know I have great options if Cornell says no, even if it isn't my first choice. I just want to know. Whatever it is. They haven't rejected anyone with my numbers, but I am not sure how they are treating my third LSAT score so that changes a lot. The only thing I do know is if I get EA Deferred then placed on "Reserve" and then Waitlisted, I will seriously lose my mind.Pearalegal wrote:jks289 wrote:Any news for anyone since the smattering of EA rejections last week?
