I tried to search for this and didn't find any posts, so sorry if it's a double post after all.

In those of you ho have been admitted, how long was your Statement of Interest to Tulane? I know they require a 500 word P.S. (I'll send my general one), plus my optional addendum; however, how long should my essay for why I want to go be? Like one page, two pages?

I intend to write it about how well received I was by there Admissions Office, and how I like their alumni base and their International law program, but I think I could effetely do that in a page, and don’t want to over or under shoot it.

Status checker changed to "Decision has been Made" today, which according to the thread is unfortunately a rejection. I was hoping for a WL at least! But oh well, good luck to everyone that ends up attending Tulane, it's such a nice school.

Does everyone who gets accepted go complete more than once?

I think that it has been the general consensus that if you go complete more than once you are probably in the waitlist/admit ballpark. Could be wrong however since there might have been an example of an admittance after going complete once.

Are you guys referring to when your "Current Status Date" updates?
That usually just means that they have added notes to your file.

Honestly, I'm really confused about Tulane. I've been complete since 1/19 and have already gotten into several schools ranked higher. This is one of the shortest threads of all the ones I've been watching and very few people have gotten a response one way or another. Maybe some of the stranger rejections have been due to something on the application - terrible personal statement, unflattering recommendations, criminal problems, etc. I'm sorry but there's no way Tulane is able to reject a 167/3.4 unless there was some underlying issue. The 75th percentile for last year's class is a 163 and a 3.4 is by no means a bad GPA....

Maybe they reject a 167/3.4 simply because that person is simply uninspiring. All schools reject people who are above 75% if the quality of the UG isn't that strong. Or perhaps the applicant took weak courses. Or maybe they are really rich but have no community service. it could be a million things.

I think they are skeptical of the fact that i have a lot of nationwide applications. Pretty sure that i wrote the "Why Tulane?" essay, but i think it was rather generic.
