One of my fraternity brothers received an email last Friday from the Admission's Office asking him to send a copy of his ACT/SAT scores. I was thinking this was a good sign for him. His LSAT is in the 150's (I don't remember exactly) and he has like a 3.97 GPA. Did this happen to anyone else? Do you think they are looking for a standardized test score trend? Told him I asked about it here. Thanks.

x2. I got an email from an alum a few days ago and responded today. He replied to several of my questions w/in half an hour. I received an email from a second alum today who talked about being from Minneapolis so clearly they passed along basic information about me which makes me feel all warm inside.

I got it, but I was admitted a while ago.

Call and ask! It gives you a great reason to ask and them a good reason to give out a decision over the phone. I suspect you're in.

I just called and I'm in! This is my highest ranking acceptance so far! Ahhh I'm excited I was probable super awkward on the phone, oh well....I'm in!

Fingers crossed... I'm hoping to hear back this week sometime. I didn't get the admitted students day email - wonder if they ALL went out, or just a portion.

I just got the accepted students e-mail, too!

Why does it seem like all the ASDs are on the same days?

Congrats Jayzon! When did you get all your ISIS info? Did you have notification like complete/under review or were you just In Progress this whole time?

I'm really starting to like Iowa. The handwritten note about my p.s., the daily email contact, the various admissions mailings...all good stuff.

Does anyone know when scholly info comes out?

I was still "in progress" when I checked this morning. Funny, I haven't checked ISIS in a long time (since it seems so random, and uninformative), but I happened to check today.

I received no notification for a loooooooong time, until the "admitted students day" email.

Just wondering the timeline on your application...

I applied on the 12th, and haven't even recieved a "we got your app" email yet. Is this typical of Iowa?

I applied on 12/7, but re-took in December. Never got a complete email, but I did get a status checker.

If you don't hear anything by tomorrow, maybe send a polite "did I forget anything?" email.

Actually, just got a letter in the mail today with status checker, no need to call them now

Is anyone else feeling the Iowa love? It feels like I get some kind of e-mail from them every couple of days. I got one from an alumni (one working in the Chicago area who graduated in '01, anyone else get the same e-mail?) and some e-mails from faculty.

It's just kind of nice to have some form of communication from a school, as opposed to the 10+ ones I haven't heard back from yet that I applied to in November.

The alumni I've been in contact with are from different places than that (one is working in NYC and graduated in '97).

Definitely feeling the love. And it's definitely placing Iowa at the top of my list right now (which, I'm sure, is the intended effect).
