i dont know about that, cleareyes had good news about sending a ty note last cycle. he had his interview later in the cycle (not first batch) and sent a ty email 2 days after it or so. soon after, KB called him (she did the interviews by then) congratulating him on his acceptance, and i believe she also thanked him for the ty note (or i am just remembering this incorrectly).

i think a thank you note that is short and to the point is nice; makes us seem less like ungrateful robotic applicants imo haha.

Hmm well in that case, where do we send the Thank You note? The email interview was just from a robo-email address...?

Because looking through past threads on TLS and LSD and data available on LSN, it seems like many more than 75% of TS1’s got a TS2. Now, of course this discrepancy could be due to people not reporting getting a TS1 but not a TS2, but this is a theory that I’ve heard from a friend who was admitted last year and it seems somewhat plausible…anybody think there’s any truth to the theory?
Haha I hope you're right but I doubt it. HLS has no reason to lie about that.

I wouldn't think that they'd lie either...It's just something that I heard and thought seemed at least somewhat plausible....I'm just trying to cling on to any little bit of hope! haha

Have any more JRs been given out after 10/31? It seems that currently the latest confirmed JR is 11/6. Are they finishing up their first batch?

you'd be surprised at how inadequate some people are for phone interviews (or any social interaction for that matter). the phone interview may weed out (though it is only another part of the app) a portion of applicants that are purely robotic or lack any social experience. now im not saying if you got a TS1 and no TS2 or a JR1 and no JR2 later (yeah im covering my own ass) that you 'failed' the interview portion or you lack social skills, but im just saying, SOME are like that.

ex: someone last cycle posted a story told by TS about how one interviewee, in the middle of the interview, put him on hold to feed his dog. LOL

seems like last year there was a bit of a break in JR1 emails after halloween as well. from ppl reporting their email dates on LSN, seems like last year after a batch went out on 10/31, the next batch wasn't until 11/13, and then there was another batch on 11/17. I think the 11/17 batch was the last one to get acceptance calls before thanksgiving.

Did anyone feel really nervous during the interview, and gave rushed answers? haha, and now feel like a fool?

Affirmative for me...

not looking good.

It seemed that this was the case for most applicants last year... it didn't sound like it affected anyone's acceptance

I think as long as you don't say something incredibly stupid, the interview won't hurt

I could be wrong. I thought I just got mine today, but it's been in my spam folder for a few days. Luckily, I found it in time haha

Wow, that would have been terrible. My spam filter sometimes captures important things, but that would be devastating. Good luck!

man, i wish i had an invite in my spam folder. congrats and good luck!!

does anyone know what the lowest GPA receiving JR1 is so far? i saw the 3.67 someone linked from LSN, but has anyone heard of anything lower? i mean, they've accepted people with lower gpa's in the past, so is JR just holding off on those, or has their lsat/gpa formula changed? starting to lose hope...
