there is one ED person with 161, 4.0.... I'd go ahead and say you MORE than have at least a chance. If you submitted an all-around strong application writing-wise, I'm sure you're okay!

Congrats! I did not know that Penn interviews...
Thanks! I think they interview splitters and reverse splitters.

I'm assuming you are ED, right?
I didn't know we can apply for more than one ED.
I didn't know Penn interviews people.
Can someone confirm please?
Yes, I'm ED
i only applied one ED. (EA for Georgetown)
I think they interview splitters and reverse splitters. Before the interview, I checked previous years' threads and PMed some ppl interviewed. It was quite low key.

She's a unique applicant for sure - she'd have to be for them to bypass the lsat score. She's international. She's ED. And finally, Penn has interviewed a couple of people throughout recent cycles. These might be borderline candidates whom they really like; perhaps they use interviews as a last resort to decide between accepting and WLing the applicant.

Congratulations, seriously. You are proof that the content of an application can matter beyond the quantitative.
it was a miracle! Thank you and good luck!

Yep they interviewed me on 12/1 and I'm a splitter. I think our scores/GPA balance each other out.

I applied early for georgetown (thought it was early application?) and received an email saying my decision was postponed... I'm not transferring. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

it was probably referring to any type of decisions in general, so I'm this case, ED

Yeah I was hoping it meant both, but this makes more sense. Thanks!

Is there anyone else who applied in Sep/Oct RD and UR1 11/21 who still hasn't gone UR2 at this point?

Paranoid that something went wrong in my application bc I got an email from Penn Law about registering for a class this spring but am still UR1.

Pretty sure that wouldn't be a bad thing. What does the email say exactly? Does it name you personally as a student?
Nope, just a listserv email - pretty sure it's marketing

I already got my decision, I was placed on hold, but I am curious to know if they already released all ED decisions. There were a lot of people here waiting for ED but very few people posted they received decisions.

Also, I will send my "Why PennLaw" essay. Any insights on how to approach this essay, because the prompt is not a direct Why PennLaw? They basically asks about how my values match PennLaw values. It's a little bit tricky. Any help is very much appreciated. :D

Am I crazy, or is the space between Penn's GPA 25% and 50% MASSIVE.

Is there some reason for this a la Berks relative disbelief in the predictive value of hard numbers?

You are not crazy, it's indeed huge. I don't get it either.

Also between the LSAT 25th% and 50th% (163 and 169, respectively). Esp when considering their 75th% is 170.
