I mean, didn't you submit less than a week ago? UVA has been fast, but not necessarily that fast. Particularly at this time of year when apps from all the Sept LSAT takers are flooding in, I have to imagine they're up to their eyes in apps to review. The only 1 week turnarounds I remember seeing were occurring at the very beginning of the cycle.

Good luck though! Hopefully they won't keep you waiting too long!

Edit: just saw you've scheduled an interview for a while from now. They almost certainly will not admit you until after that, they've been pretty clear that they like to have a real conversation with everyone they seriously consider before making a decision. Sorry :(

Oh, I'm not saying it's realistic to be impatient, just that I am.

And I'm not sure if it functions as my "interview". I told them I was touring, and asked if I could sit down with someone from admissions. So, hopefully, that's not my "interview" interview.

I haven't been interviewed yet and am under review. I just got an email inviting me to a "small and intimate" prospective student dinner in my city. Is this a good sign or something standard? I don't want to read too much into it if it's not a big deal. I haven't seen these before except at other schools for already admitted students.

Welp, app is in. Nothing to do now but sit around and be neurotic with you guys, I guess.

Dude, if you're this ansy and impatient in October then you're in for a world of disappointment for the application cycle. And honestly, if UVA is your top choice then I'd think waiting a bit wouldn't kill you. Lots of students wait until February or March to hear anything.

I think they might count it, seems to just be about having an in-person conversation regardless of the forum

Thanks. I went ED, so I should know fairly quickly. >75 LSAT and decent GPA, plus great work experience and references, so I feel pretty competitive. Who knows though. Hope to see you all there!

Be prepared for a "What was the worst day of your life?" question. Threw me off a little bit.

That's bizarre, I think I would totally fumble those questions under time/pressure.

Especially the worst day question. That's probably heading into dark territory for a lot of people...

Interestin'. I did not get asked these during my interview

Yeah, I had trouble answering it. I was like "How real do you want me to get?"

I have been under review for a month with no movement. Should I consider sending in a Why UVA?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
