After you submit the form, they'll email you then you can explain your COL thing. I was able to update them with an increased scholarship offer that way.

Could those who have been accepted let me know when the first seat deposit deadline is? I'm trying to decide when to send my second LOCI, as a waitlisted kid. Thanks!

I've read that other schools will email you if you are accepted or wait listed but snail mail you if you are rejected. Does ND also do this? :? I'm "decision made" in status check as of 3/2, no email =/ AND no seat deposit fee :(

ND is high on my list if the scholarship offer is generous, have a full ride at Iowa (60k), 60k at William and Mary, and 90k at University of Minnesota (but thats only 50% of tuition!).

165 / 3.89 here.

Maybe I overread this in previous posts, but for anyone who has submitted scholarship reconsideration form, about how long did it take for ND to get back to you with either an updated offer or notification that you weren't getting more $? Haven't submitted yet but curious.

hey everyone,

I just got wait listed today, i was right at or above medians with a 164 lsat and 3.6 gpa, anyone know how often Notre Dame takes people from the wait list? I also didn't do a DKL essay which I'm realizing was probably a bad call.

I'm from the east coast and had a dinner with one of the admissions guys. He thought it was regionally done but turned out to be changed just this year because kids would have 500 dollars total and some students coming from purdue would manage to use the entire 500 somehow so now its 250 flat

That is really annoying. My plane tickets alone cost well over the $250, not to mention car rental or hotel!

He told me he thought I was supposed to get 400 and then said that it was in fact in error and then offered to try and help out extra only because he incorrectly relayed information to me that may have influenced my ability to plan a visit

The first seat deposit is April 22 so they'll start pulling people from the waitlist after that.

Thanks, any chance you think I could hear before that? Just tough to plan out acceptances at other schools, considering this is my number 1 choice, I may just pay the seat deposit for my 2nd choice and take the hit if I get in.

I don't think it's likely you'll hear before then since waitlists usually work like that (they have to see their class profile before they pull people). But you could try calling them in case they have a different practice.

I received 250. On the West Coast, haha.
I don't think the idea is to give people a free trip but to help make visiting more affordable instead. Don't fly into South Bend. It's usually too expensive. Try O'Hare or Midway and rent a car, take a bus, or take the train.

I was able to get roundtrip tickets into Midway from the east coast., rent a car for a day, and get a hotel for one night and came in $0.29 over my $250 stipend. Granted, I was able to buy my plane tickets a month and a half in advance, but it's definitely doable. I agree ^^, don't fly into South Bend. It's way too expensive. Just be ready for the 2 hour drive from Midway to South Bend!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
