Submitted the 9th, went under review the 12th. Status checker still says under review, but now says the 24th. No emails yet about interviews. Good or bad sign?

Does not recieving an interview request by now imply bad news if youre applying ED? Im a reach candidate but I think I put together a really solid application, if they haven't reached out by now to schedule an interview though and are planning to have decisions by the end of the month for ED's does that imply a ding?

For what it's worth, I had my interview today. It was a pleasant experience. The interviewer went off script midway through the interview and had a nice conversation with me. All but one question were taken from the list posted in this thread. The only exception was a question on why I want to study law in the US. I'm from Canada. I hope this can help others. Cheers.

This was probably a fair question that you had to have been expecting. Glad the list helped. Hope it went well.panli19 wrote:All but one question were taken from the list posted in this thread. The only exception was a question on why I want to study law in the US. I'm from Canada.

Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
My interview this time around was much friendlier and more comfortable, despite being with the same person who interviewed me last cycle. Seems likely that either way it's just an interviewing strategy to see how you react. Or else I'm crazy and the more brusque environment last time around was all in my head. The whole application process does breed a not insignificant amount of paranoia and second guessing. Although, last time around I also managed to insult my interviewer before we even met for the first time by being a complete idiot and using a gendered honorific without bothering to check online if it was the correct one. Literally would have taken twenty seconds to check.
I'll also second the above posters about not stressing yourself out too much throughout this whole process. The interviews aren't nearly as stressful as you might imagine (even the more rocky interview I had previously was infinitely better than how I'd convinced myself it might go). If you haven't gotten an interview yet, it's not nearly time yet to give up. If you don't end up getting into Chicago, there are a lot of other great schools, some of which might turn out to be a much better fit once you give them a chance. And if the cycle doesn't go the way you hoped and you decide to wait it to try again in the future, that's not terrible either. This is my third time going around this process and the only thing I regret about it is how much I let the stress get to me. Be prepared, but don't waste your time worrying about things out of your control (he says, posting on a forum seemingly devoted to such).

Has anyone had any luck soliciting fee waivers from Chicago? I'd love to save the $75. Stats are >25% LSAT, >75% GPA. Thanks.

They specifically say on their website they do not respond to solicited merit fee waivers. I think you have to be patient with CRS.
"The Law School will also send out additional fee waivers to applicants based upon data from the Candidate Referral Service (CRS) and in conjunction with various recruiting events. The Law School is unable to consider individual fee waiver requests."

Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
A few of us successfully solicited earlier in this thread. I emailed Dean Perry with my numbers and asked if there was anything I could do because CRS was not picking me up, and received a response and a waiver that day. Apparently a few applicants that should have received CRS waivers were overlooked by the system.icantwait wrote:Has anyone had any luck soliciting fee waivers from Chicago? I'd love to save the $75. I'm also interested in this, though I'm assuming by the crickets on this thread the answer might be no?theugg wrote:Anyone who submitted in Nov get an interview request, yet?
