Anyone else think GW low-balled them compared to other schools?

Is anyone weighing a GW scholarship offer versus T14/T8 sticker prices?

Same. Especially if they won't negotiate before the April 1 deposit deadline.Stillblade wrote:Absolutely. They're out of the running for me.Marylander25 wrote:Anyone else think GW low-balled them compared to other schools?

Got mine today as well. It was actually a little more than I was expecting based on comments here, but less than what peer schools have given me.

If I was accepted to GW but did not receive a scholarship offer yet today should I assume I did not get anything?

I wouldn't worry too much yet. Still going to be money available once people withdraw.agalfano wrote:If we were accepted to GW but did not receive a scholarship offer yet today should I assume I did not get anything?
Anyone want to share their negotiation strategy?

Looking at TLS, looks like they're going after high GPA's for the big scholarships.

Was offered 120k today, but USC offered 135k (though tuition is 5k more, so it's about equal) and I'm also in at Cornell waiting for an offer. Not saying no yet but I'd say don't worry for those who weren't offered anything yet - lots of people are going to be making deposits soon who have offers at GWU.

Well mine still says "Application Complete" as the status, but the message at the top indicates that my app has been forwarded for review. And I had another, pre-1/29 date listed previously, so that's why I'm calling my current status UR2.lizzielemon wrote:I'm still at complete!nosocat wrote:Same. Who should we be emailing to negotiate scholarships?

Does anyone know if today's scholarship e-mails also include need-based aid?

Re: George Washington c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I don't believe so. Per the email, "Students receiving merit scholarships in the amount of $16,000/year or greater are not be eligible for need-based grants." ... So presumably, the scholarship e-mails were just merit scholarships.HopefulURM wrote:Does anyone know if today's scholarship e-mails also include need-based aid?
