Also had a date change (RD). UR4/5 depending on how you count it. (Went UR, then I believe I had a date change prior to my interview, back to UR shortly after my interview, then date changes 12/19 and today. Regardless, it's my third post-interview SC update.)

Dumb question:

How can you know which "UR" you are? I'm "Under Review" but without a number beside it. Unless I check the status checker everyday (nope!), how will I know if I progress through the stages?

Also UR date change today! Interviewed 11/28 and this is UR 3/4 I believe.

People have just memorized or (written down I guess) how many date changes they have had.

Did a very brief review of last year's thread and I didn't see any UR4s before the new year. This could 1) already have been mentioned (sorry if someone else saw it!), 2) be totally insignificant, 3) mean decisions are coming, or 4) be some combination of the previously mentioned options.

Last year UR4s went out 1/17 (Friday before MLK weekend) and decisions began being emailed Tuesday 1/21. There was some movement on the @UChicagoLawApps twitter indicating decisions were forthcoming.

They will probably come out earlier than last year, but not as soon as everyone hopes (UR4s for regular decision applicants began December 18th this year, continued last week, and another wave today - but no decisions yet). But here's for wishful thinking!

I have no idea when decisions will be out. I'll optimistically say 1/5. Pretty unlikely considering I didn't think people would be working this week but who knows?

The What to Expect thread counts the pre-interview updates as UR1 and UR1.5, then the return to UR after the interview as UR2, followed by UR3 and UR4. Those of us reporting UR4 on 12/18 and 12/19 seem to have had a UR1.5, which means we were really on UR3 compared to last year. It's not clear that anyone reported a second date change following their interview (i.e., returning to UR, followed by two new UR dates) until today, so we may be seeing the first wave of final date changes.
