You are not alone. My deadline was the 15th, but somehow I got confused and submitted a half-baked essay on the 8th.
No call, email, or status change since.[/quote]
It's only been a few days I'm just kidding. We're good to go, see you in Austin!

They do offer OOS students fee waivers, because I'm from VA but got one from them, only reason why I thought to even apply to them.catahoula wrote:I actually didn't bother because somewhere on their website they explicitly say that they don't offer fee waivers for OOS applicants. (I did successfully ask for a fee waiver from every other school I applied to.) Still, can't hurt to ask!bluehose wrote:Has anyone here applied for an application fee waiver? This is the only school I plan on applying to that I did not receive a waiver from. I definitely cannot afford the $70 at the moment for the application, but I also am fearful that applying for the waiver will negatively affect my chances of acceptance. Texas is one of my tops picks for sure. Any feedback/thoughts on this?

Outright rejected after being WL'd last year. Oof.
Do you think I can petition for reevaluation after Dec LSAT score is released?

Considering that they have a time limit for requesting a reconsideration, I would probably request reconsideration citing the pending score and ask that they hold your application until Dec. scores are released. Or, if scores are expected to be out before the deadline (30 days from denial), you can just wait it out.rion91 wrote:Outright rejected after being WL'd last year. Yahoo isn't letting me add attachments so would it be weird to email my Why Texas from a different email account or would that cause confusion?

Feel free to send from a different email. I sent my original from my .mil and it stripped the attachment. So I had to resend it from my civilian one.MtnGinger wrote:Yahoo isn't letting me add attachments so would it be weird to email my Why Texas from a different email account or would that cause confusion?

I don't know what you could/would say, tbh. Just have to be patient.Lions1913 wrote:Still no word after submitting my "Why Texas Law" a few weeks ago. Might it be advisable to follow up in some regard?

Hilary Routon should confirm your response if you sent it to Dean Ingram, I got the same auto reply followed by a confirmation from Routon a few hours later!Lions1913 wrote:Recieved an auto-response e-mail from the dean when I sent it in.IsThisForReal wrote:Did they confirm receipt?Lions1913 wrote:Still no word after submitting my "Why Texas Law" a few weeks ago. I received the autoresponse from the Dean, but did not receive a response from Hilary Routon, and I was contacted by the dean a week or so later.ellewoods817 wrote:Hilary Routon should confirm your response if you sent it to Dean Ingram, I got the same auto reply followed by a confirmation from Routon a few hours later!Lions1913 wrote:Recieved an auto-response e-mail from the dean when I sent it in.IsThisForReal wrote:Did they confirm receipt?Lions1913 wrote:Still no word after submitting my "Why Texas Law" a few weeks ago. I sent in 'why texas?' on the 8th but haven't received any response whatsoever.
Should I contact the admissions office?

Based on when they submitted theirs, I would say it was an out-of-office response.fairhope71 wrote: I sent in 'why texas?' on the 8th but haven't received any response whatsoever.

Re: University of Texas C/O 18 Applicants
I submitted mine Thursday night and got a confirmation before noon on Friday, got the ding e-mail around 8:00 this morning. I'm below median LSAT and around 75% GPA, so I wasn't completely shocked, but I was very hopeful after the Why Texas? statement. (also, 1 day seems like a really quick turnaround!)fireflies wrote:Has anyone else gotten a solicitation to write a why Texas due december 15th...and then gotten rejection via email today (on the 13th)

Your post is my shining beacon of hope that this may have been a technical glitch for all why Texas statements due on 12/15, haha keep us posted!

OOS AA male, 25th LSAT, 75th GPA, good WE, dinged by email this morning.
Like the above posters, had a 12/15 deadline on the Why Texas? but they dinged me a few days early anyway. Might be best to churn yours out immediately after getting the request if you're OOS and actually want to attend.
Good luck all.

People getting dinged before the 12/15 deadline who haven't submitted their Why Texas? statements seems really odd to me, I would e-mail them and ask about it if they're high on your list!Flokkness wrote:OOS AA male, 25th LSAT, 75th GPA, good WE, dinged by email this morning.
