Congrats! I do like the little personal touch they put into the letter, makes you feel like more than a number.
Thanks! It commented on my academic record and my essays. Makes you feel like they really care haha

Seriously??
What about int'l applicants? Do we have to wait for 4 weeks (probably more because it's snail mail damn it) to know after they make the decision?

As an international applicant from Taiwan, it took 10 days for my letter to find its way through snail mail.
Mine was dated 10/14, and I finally received it on 10/24. @口@"

The note they had on my letter was (in part) actually pretty hilariously not about what I'm interested in. It was mostly very touching, but then just sort of veered off...

Just got an email invitation for a group interview with the dean. Anyone know anything about this? They only gave me 3 days notice, so I'm not sure I can even get off work to do it if I wanted to.

So how bad is it not to use the optional response? I regret nothing, learned nothing, and never faced any challenges in my life, and I don't think my MS Paint art makes for a good way to fill the box. (Not making a video btw.) Will gtown not love me?

Hand you're a YP situation for them. Write some BS for one of the essays.
Do it. I did the ethical challenge response and it really didn't take too long. It was kinda fun to write something other than a Why X.

How long did it take for everyone's apps to go complete? I've been waiting for almost a week now.

does Georgetown do skype interviews? In the email I just received it says "please reply to this e-mail as soon as possible to let us know whether you would like to be interviewed, and to indicate your availability to meet with an alumnus/a via Skype." And on Georgetown's website it says "If no interviewers are available in your area, we will attempt to match you for a phone or Skype interview."

However, on the document attached to the interview invitation email, it says "If no interviewers are available in your area, we will promptly return your application to review with the Admissions Committee," which contradicts the information on their website.

So when I response to this email, should I include my skype name? would that be weird?

So I would respond to that.

When the alum interviewer contacts you, they will ask/verify your contact info which may/may not include Skype.

hmm that's strange it seems each email is worded slightly differently. but yea that makes sense, i'm just going to tell them I'm available for all 3 methods.

I responded to a similar email that I wouldn’t be able to do a group interview but would be available for a phone interview. I never got a reply and was accepted a couple weeks later. I think they just moved me back to the admissions committee. I would just reply that you won't be able to do an in person interview but would be available to do a phone/skype interview.

I submitted ED on 10/8. No idea if they adhere to the three week ED decision they've put on their site so hopefully I should hear back any day. LSAT 165 and GPA 3.8 with some unusual softs and prior military sooo I'm hoping that gives me a little boost despite my less than stellar lsat.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
