Good idea, done
So when do we think we'll start making threads for individual schools?

I was there too. Overall impression was that it beat most of the info sessions I've been to in terms of both being entertaining (pretty important if I'm sitting there for over an hour) and actual information. Definitely more talk than I expected about TLS (which they called a "chatroom" at times) and apparently they can and do identify people on these boards if the post is unique enough. Meeting with the deans was cool, a little cookie cutter though. I.E.- (insert school here) has hands-on experiential learning with multidisciplinary approaches <-- literally 4 schools said almost that exact line.
I'm kind of interested to know why the T14 has decided to have their own law school forum though
Agreed. The best info I got came more from what they didn't say--like when I asked Duke about public interest and the deans said that
all lawyers work in the public interest...
Thanks for sharing your take!

Hey guys,
Inappropriate to question admissions counselors about application during a visit? Specifically, when to apply under different circumstances, addendum or not, ways to counteract negative history, etc.? If not, do you expect they would offer any significant advice? I've got one coming up, but am afraid that I'll just spew a barrage of questions that I think will help my application. Is that typical of visitors, or should I refrain? Thanks for the help.
Edit: BEFORE the application is sent. Basically, searching for advice and feedback from someone close to the program.

My heart is broke guys. I've received many offers from law schools including a few T30s teasing me with a full scholarship next year. But Cooley just contacted me today to encourage me to apply and offered me NOTHING!!! How dare my dream school ignore me so harshly! I feel that my daily law offers are what keep me going but a knife has been plunged through my heart with this one.

Hey guys Miami universittty school of law just sent me an email telling me they missed me at the law forum! How nice! I really like how they started the email with dear <<FIRST NAME>>.
It's those little personal touches that mattter guys. I'd better apply to Miami now! Do you think they'll send me a fee waiver???
On a completely unrelated note, is it rude to tell schools not to send you any more advertisements about their law school?

Well this is all new to me, but have any of you gotten an email from a LS basically saying give us your lsat, GPA, and resume and we will give you a 'you will probably earn this scholy' response? I have, kind of refreshing considering all the hurry up and wait we're going to go through soon.

What's your GPA? I'm non URM with a lower LSAT than you and I'm headed to WUSTL in the fall if that gives you any hope.
