Did you apply via PT? If not it looks like Duke's wait is just as painful as the rest.

They notified PT applicants that the decision could be more than ten days because of the holiday.

Last status date is 9/23 (under review). Admissions office confirmed they have all my components. I know it's early to start worrying, but.. I'm worrying.

Try not to. NYU gets what, 10000 applicants per year? And it's not like the admissions office has contracted out some elf workshop to process every application.

At least, that's what I'm trying to tell myself.

Thanks. I'm trying to tell myself not to freak out, but between this and the radio silence from UVA and UMichigan (who have both been giving out acceptances), I'm starting to go into OMG, I'm not getting in anywhere panic mode.

My understanding is that contacting the admissions office in a panic when you don't have an extenuating circumstance is literally the worst thing that you can do.

I needed to make sure they got my dean's certification, which is not included on the status checker. Last time I called, they told me it had not been received (even though the status checker said complete), so it wasn't just generic "TELL ME I'M COMPLETE" calling.

ETA: But now I have a whole new dimension of panic .. oh god, now I'm definitely not getting in.

You'll get in. Maybe the extra document reset your complete date or something. I forgot to attach my C&F and I'm hoping that doesn't affect when I hear back. I'm still in UR2 after going UR1 11/14.

Haha, it's actually 5700 applicants. Around 450 matriculate.

Jingo, we both did the same thing and I had to email a supplemental C&F for my time off. They were extremely nice about it.

On another note, I can't believe letters are finally being sent! Now I just have to wait for a week until they get to the late-October submissions...

Just told my friend who is 1 L at NYU Law. She responded... "i'm currently miserable but on the plus side is that you get Therapy Dogs for PTSD patients during finals"...
