I wasn't expecting any decisions today, but that would be fantastic!! I'm preparing for another somewhat vague update about class size.....

+1 (unfortunately). Also, they haven't always been timely. I know I will end up doing it, but I'm trying not to hold my breath for the e-mail because it could get drawn out until Monday.

Yes their July update came 2 days after they said it would be sent in the previous update. So I would expect something by Tuesday at the latest.

I'm guessing this update, unlike several others, will be timely. An admissions staff member personally assured me yesterday, in writing, that an update would be sent prior to the end of the week. I hope this is the case.

The July update came at 5:15PM and the June one came at 5:37PM. I would say that it seems like they like to send their emails after the office is closed.

Hi all. I'm admitted but was on the student housing waitlist. I just got a place yesterday. I hope that's a positive sign of room opening up in the class as well for you all. Best of luck.

Just received the most pessimistic email of the whole cycle. It read, "basically, nahh..."

I don't really understand the e-mail they sent us; I can't actually tell if I was rejected or if I'm still waitlisted. I was told that though they don't expect to have any spots left, I should stay in touch with them and let them know where I stand, and they will do the same. What does that even mean?

I assume the email I received was the same that you did. Oh well. I'm torn between telling them to go to unpleasant things to themselves or actually replying politely. TBD

Not sure about posting verbatim. Just basically thanks for being patient (go F yourself) ... Making decisions as Tuition comes in this week... Class is full - most likely wont be able to extend u an offer... Let us know if you wish to remain anyway. Etc etc thanks for your interest BS

I withdrew from GULC about a week and a half ago (had a small scholarship) and received my confirmation about a week ago. I don't know if they will replace my spot (or if they have already replaced it?) but I thought I would let you know! I hope it opens up a spot for one of you!

Did anyone take the weekend and process what the email said? Like everyone else who posted, I'm confused as to whether or not I should give up any hope of attending this fall.

If you didn't receive an email or didnt receive that one, I'd be very curious to see what happens with you. Last time people didnt get the disappointing email with the lot of us - they got accepted.

I regard that email as tantamount to a de facto rejection. While not technically stating that we won't be admitted, the phrase "we do not expect to be able to extend you an offer of admission" likely means we're out. Admittedly, based on the language, there is the continued possibility of acceptance before the commencement of fall term, but the odds are quite slim to non-existent. Pity, too, as I'd been holding out hope, and had received several optimistic messages. What I would really have appreciated relative to the admissions office is candor--a quality Georgetown Law admissions clearly lacks.
