And thanks Zuck and Manhattan, regardless of what happens the only plausible way to deal with this is to drink heavily

Did you do an optional essay? If so, which one?Nickg415 wrote:Just got invited to interview (3.2/170) I guess they mainly do this for people on the fringes. Curious if anyone who has had an interview has received a decision on their app. I went complete 10/9--->10/18 update---->10.24 update/interview invite. They are saying that it may take two weeks to schedule the interview so hopefully there is a quick turn around. I really just want to get ONE T14 acceptance out of the way before the waitlists start coming.

Got an interview invite, which is awesome considering I'm playing the under both medians game. We'll see how it goes. For those wondering, went complete 10/3 and haven't followed it closely since then (damn wedding and honeymoon).

Looking through last years thread it looks like all waitlists and denials came through email, not snail mail. If you received an update with no email then I think you have something coming in the mail.....TheThriller wrote:just got the 3rd update 10/24 (ED applicant for those who didn't know before)
Nervous as hell.
I wonder what it is!?

Yeah I did. I wrote about a time I had failed and what I gained from the experience.dynamic28 wrote:Did you do an optional essay? ED applicant-- completed on 10/1. Interviewed on 10/23 (went great), and got an update today (third update). Might mean they received my interviewer's eval and are checking it out; might mean they reviewed it already and made a decision. The anticipation is killing me.

Can anyone shed light on the interview? Is it like a typical job interview or more informal? Thanks.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Treat it as a job interview, but it may end up being more informal. At lot of people from last years thread got asked why law school and why Georgetown. I also got asked those two questions. The rest of the questions were about my resume and my past experiences. It was a pretty stress-free process, but I think it depends on whom your interviewer is. Prepare for a formal interview, and if it is less formal when you get there adjust. You never get points off for being too professional. good luckdemarco5 wrote:Can anyone shed light on the interview? Is it like a typical job interview or more informal? Thanks.

Thanks, man. Nice to see you haven't gotten a waitlist e mail. Think hunter might be on to something with his theory. Good luck.TheThriller wrote:Hang in there! Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Has any other ED applicant who went complete on 10/1 still not heard back at all from Georgetown? Maybe I'm missing something here, but the admissions office seems to treat the statement "If your Early Decision application is complete with all required documentation by February 1, a decision will be communicated to you within 3 weeks of completion" rather liberally.
Edit: For what's it worth, I submitted on 9/26 and my status has been updated 3 times: 10/1---->10/17---->10/23. Three updates appears to be a good sign, but it's driving me crazy that I submitted a month ago as an ED applicant and haven't heard so much as a peep from Georgetown.

I'd politely contact admissions. Maybe under the disguise of a letter of continued interest.zzzz wrote:Has any other ED applicant who went complete on 10/1 still not heard back at all from Georgetown? That's exactly what I am toying with, but part of me is paranoid that I will come across as pushy (not that that would have any bearing on a decision). I suppose if I am alone in this boat, then it is best to contact them. Anyone else experiencing this degree of a delay between the first complete and the no-response?Manhattanman wrote:

I submitted on Saturday and realized I never uploaded my optional essay. Worth calling and asking if I can submit it as an add?

10/1 ED myself and I got the acceptance on Monday, third date was the post mark. I think 10/23 was when they mailed it, if you don't get it by Halloween I would say something. It is probably in the mail. It took them about week from my most recent update.zzzz wrote:Has any other ED applicant who went complete on 10/1 still not heard back at all from Georgetown? Congrats! I'd like to know because I am currently out of town for a little while, did your status checker changed as well? Or did you also get an email or something like that?feralinfant wrote:Just got the acceptance letter in the mail. Did not expect to hear back so early. Sort of in shock.
