too early to tell. according to chicago's twitter, the school started reading early october apps less than two weeks ago. assuming that they are furiously trying to get ED decisions ready by dec. 31, they are likely still stuck on ED apps/ October RD apps. don't sweat it.

So I tried to call a few minutes ago and they said the admissions office is only open from 10-3. Is this normal?

Just got an invite from someone at UChicago to apply. The person who wrote it went to my undergrad and the school is trying to pull in more graduates from my undergrad. Is this just an elaborate plot to get more apps in?

If it makes you feel better, I've been stuck since 11/7. No movement at all. I'm RD but I really thought I would hear something by now. Interestingly, though, about 2/3 of the schools I applied to have told me nothing and I sent out applications in October.

interesting. the fact that you haven't been hearing back from many places did make me feel better (sorry) given your strong numbers. guess it's still early!
