Congrats! Did you do any supplementals? Congrats again!!!!!
Thank you so much! I did a fairly weak "Why Duke" essay.

The first of many, I'm sure. Congrats!

Nobody's gotten in without PT yet--I've been under review since 9/28. Though I'm going to be optimistic and predict that some RD people will hear back this week, you probably shouldn't expect anything until next month.

Also in, priority track (9 days after going complete)! Good luck to those still waiting, especially the RD folks!

Anyone know anything about priority reserve? Do I even have a shot? How long do I have to wait?

Submitted my PT application this weekend and just got my status checker email! This is the forum where we just get to go 'asfjklsdhfklj so excited', right?

Good luck everyone!

I had a great visit to Duke on Friday. Highly recommend the Q-Shack for some excellent BBQ. If you have questions, post them or PM me.

This is a weird question, how far is Duke from a major airport? If I go to Duke I'll have to do a lot of flying, so that's why I'm asking.

I think RDU is about a 15 minute drive from Duke.

EDIT: 23 minutes according to Google Maps

How strict are they about the 10 day thing? I went complete the morning of 10/12, and it's been 10 days. Is this business days or calendar days or is the whole thing just more of an estimate?

Thanks!

It seems like they stick to it. Assuming your app is PT, you should probably hear by today! :)
Sounds good, still nothing. Hopefully some good news comes today...nerves until then

I just spoke with a family friend who is a Duke law alum and sits on one of the law school's boards. Sounds like Duke is a really great place where the faculty and deans truly care about the students' experience.

Congrats new admits!!

I just got an email from the Associate Dean with some welcome to Duke info and a nice handwritten note at the bottom of my acceptance letter. Since I'm living abroad currently the admissions packet won't reach me for a while (Egyptian mail is kind of finicky).

Finally under review today!!

RD submitted mid September but was on hold because of a missing dean's letter. Crossing fingers.

Does everyone who is "under review" have the same message of "We appreciate your continued interest in Duke Law School. If you would like to submit additional/updated material, feel free to do so by email or U.S. postal mail. To contact our office, email admissions@law.duke.edu," at the top?

Thanks
