I submitted 11/7 or 11/8, I believe. Went complete the next day, was UCR2 by 11/20.

As a current 1L, congrats to everyone that got in today! You'll love it here, I promise.
Just not around finals time, as you may be able to tell by me being on TLS after 9pm on a Friday night.

Does anyone know if we have a chance of finding out our acceptance/rejection tomorrow?

Ok so I went complete 9/21 poor math skills imply that I've been complete 12 weeks on 12/14. And above the status checker penn claims to give an answer within 12 weeks. Does that mean that no matter what I'm hearing this week? Or is the 12 weeks (like this whole process) another means of torturing applicants?
up to 12 weeks is the exact terminology

Did everyone who is ED with a ucr 1 or 2 date of 11/20 get accepted? Maybe I'm looking too deep into all of this..

I was ED with UCR 2 date of 11/21, and was accepted. Not sure if that helps.bobr wrote:Did everyone who is ED with a ucr 1 or 2 date of 11/20 get accepted? Maybe I'm looking too deep into all of this..

I went complete 09/17, so 12 weeks for me is tomorrow. I paid the fee for this one, and my application literally takes five minutes to read, so I kind of do want a timely response.

Complete on 9/19. Getting impatient in this case and a few others. For a whole bunch of reasons, I'd hoped to make my decision by the New Year ... that looks increasingly unlikely.banjo wrote:I went complete 09/17, so 12 weeks for me is tomorrow. Once we begin reviewing Regular applicants, most applicants will have a decision within twelve weeks of submission to the committee if not sooner.

It seems like most people accepted were UCR 11/20 (or 21). This is from the small sample in this thread so it's not very reliable.bobr wrote:Did everyone who is ED with a ucr 1 or 2 date of 11/20 get accepted? Maybe I'm looking too deep into all of this..
I have yet to seen a UCR 11/15 get accepted. Maybe I'm wrong? Anybody out there?
I'm UCR 11/15 and I'm terrified of tomorrow.

When do RD acceptances normally start rolling out?

A bit insulting but oddly comforting at the same time. My message was just a response to bobr stating that so far people in this thread who were accepted were 11/20 or 11/21 UCR. Also, that is 6 admits that chose to post here (I did say sample size is not reliable).
Anyway, not going to further expand on this. You're right. Gotta stop over thinking this. Won't make a difference in the end.

Looks like the first RD wave on LSN was 12-16-11 which was the Friday of the second week of December. So we could see some this upcoming Friday, 12-14-12.NoodleyOne wrote:When do RD acceptances normally start rolling out?

I wonder what if any impact the presence of a 2nd ED round this year will have on the 1st round. Perhaps Penn will accept fewer ED applicants in this round than they have in years past, knowing that there is a second round to come.

Sorry - just anxious to get to the work week and hopefully acceptances for us all. Saw a trend, but sure it means nada. Gl.senorhosh wrote:A bit insulting but oddly comforting at the same time. I went UCR 2 on 11/20, no call. Penn traditionally only takes like 15-30 kids from an ED pool. And it's probably gonna be on the lower end for this ED cycle because they have, for the first time, another ED cycle next month. And I'm doubtful that Penn will double the number of spots they give out to ED candidates.
Personally I think it's likely that all of the ED acceptances were distributed on Friday..I think I counted 5-8 ED admits in this thread? (could be wrong, don't remember, too lazy to count). That's a significant number when you consider that not every Penn ED applicant uses or posts on TLS. But hopefully I'm wrong =(

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
I'm pretty sure that would still be 12 weeks from the complete date, since that's when the application is submitted / in queue for review. The "most" part is really the most annoying bit.banjo wrote:

Also, I was looking through last year's thread and some RD applicants heard back without getting a 2nd UCR date..
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
