I did. But now I am thinking it was a waste of time, but I guess it doesn't matter it didn't cost me anything.harocutter wrote:Has anyone who has been waitlisted sent in their waitlist confirmation form yet?

My status changed to decision sent yesterday, the 28th. How long did it take people to hear back after the decision was sent? Thanks!

Because I am planning on committing on or real close to April 15, and I highly doubt I will hear back from Loyola before than.

Re: Loyola LA 2012 applicants!
Does Loyola usually accept a decent number of applicants off their waitlist? I've heard that because it has so many applicants and it is a backup school for applicants that have good numbers, there ends up being a lot of withdrawals. Anyone know anything about this?

Re: Loyola LA 2012 applicants!
Waitlisted! So of course I had to go in search of anyone else in the same boat
. I don't have great numbers (154/3.5) but I still have my fingers and toes crossed that when they are re-reviewing my file, they would be in an awesome mood.
I had not received anything from them until I received the waitlisted letter on 03/29/12 which needed to be responded to by 04/01/12. I did not take the LSAT until February so I started late in the game. I knew nothing of the status checker that everyone is talking about so I just emailed them to ask how I could have access to that. Not that I'm looking forward to freaking myself out by anxiously checking every two hours but it would be better than anxiously waiting to get something in the mail. Either way, I hope to hear from them before SW first deposit is due.
Congrats to everyone who have gotten in and good luck to everyone who is still waiting!!

Good luck to you too mayjayqueen, have you sent in a letter of continued interest yet? Or have you considered the part-time program?

I'll probably be withdrawing soon, so at least one spot will open up. Good luck!

I went decision rendered on 3/27/12 and am just waiting to receive my letter....not expecting much in terms of an acceptance.

Does anyone else this is absolutely ridiculous how long you have to wait to get a yes or no. I have been waitlisted at over 10 schools. This is total bs. Loyola is one of the worst too since they sat on my application for nearly five months. I sent in my waitlist form with a yes just so I could say no if they ever accept me. LAME!!!

Re: Loyola LA 2012 applicants!
I agree completely and I have not even heard anything back yet. I almost feel like they waitlist most people at thsi point just so they do not come across as the bad guy. Over the past 3 weeks, I think they have only given a few acceptances and the rest have been waitlists and a few rejections (probably rejections=acceptances). For being a tier one school (and I believe in the top 50), I think their process of reviewing applications is absolutely terrible.h2oplyer7 wrote:Does anyone else this is absolutely ridiculous how long you have to wait to get a yes or no. What's lame is your undergraduate record and your sense of entitlement.h2oplyer7 wrote:Does anyone else this is absolutely ridiculous how long you have to wait to get a yes or no. That's not my actual GPA, but I do feel entitled!
I am part of the entitlement generation. I deserve everything, and if I don't get it then the government better give it to me.

If by sense of entitlement you mean his expectation to here back a sound decision from a school before you have to commit upwards of $500 dollars on a seat deposit. Than you're right, how dare he have such a sense of entitlement!Danteshek wrote:What's lame is your undergraduate record and your sense of entitlement.h2oplyer7 wrote:Does anyone else this is absolutely ridiculous how long you have to wait to get a yes or no. Re: Loyola LA 2012 applicants!
Thanks quicksilver! That is what I meant. At this point, I would prefer a reject. I least I wouldn't have so many "potential" options. The waitlist process at Loyola (and San Diego and Santa Clara) is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, that is something borderline candidates just have to deal with. It's entirely possible that you could get admitted the week before classes start. You cannot expect a law school to engage in behavior that will compromise the quality of the incoming class. Every GPA and LSAT point matters.
