W&L c/o 2015 Forum

OK, so hopefully some of you guys can ease my concerns.. At this point, I'm weighing a decision between W&L (with $20000 scholly) and Fordham (No scholly, but about the same total price since I'd be commuting). I'm a little worried about the job prospects coming out of W&L since I want to work in a big city (DC, NY, LA). I've read the stats for both and I'm not convinced many grads come out of W&L and work elsewhere than Virginia. Thoughts?? Feel free to PM or post here if it will be helpful for everyone.

Fordham has decent placement in NY, especially compared to W&L. All things being equal, I would go with Fordham.

Email Fordham concerning the scholarship you received at W&L, receive some money, go to Fordham.

Just got an email that I'm under review and that there will be a decision on Thursday, January 19th.

so i havent heard from w&m yet, but if admitted, for instate i would pay about 5k less (assuming i get no $$ from there) a year than i would pay at w&l with 15,500 a year scholarship. If im in this situation, do you think if i try to negotiate with w&l they will up by scholarship to 20k???..just wondering

They must be releasing every Thursday (Maybe Dean Twitty said that in the statement earlier- I forget) because my decision date is tomorrow.

I should find out today from them as well. Pretty nervous. I have a 163 / 3.58

I'm supposed to find out today but have yet to receive the morning email of when I should expect my decision. Anyone else?

I received an email about a week ago stating that they would render a decision on my file today (1/12). The email also said they'd email me this morning with a set time that they'd post my decision this afternoon. It's noon, eastern time, and I still haven't gotten my email saying when my decision will be posted.

I just checked the app status checker and my file is still "in review."

Anyone else have this situation?

Same situation as y'all. I'm sure they'll email soon. From what everyone else has said, W&L is on top of their game in communicating decisions. I was hoping to get to find out before I have to work tonight though!

Does anyone know how they communicate scholarship info? In the acceptance email? Or do they mail it later?

They mailed it later. However, I was in the second batch of acceptances, before they mailed any scholarship info out. They might be doing it with acceptance letters now.
