It seems so. I'd also say that the small group email seems pretty irrelevant now as well.

Yep. I'm assuming they only made offers for the Part Time program? Anyone gain Full Time admission?

Just got the same exact email. Were you on the WL for the full-time program, part-time program, or both? Not sure how to interpret this email but it seems to have a positive tone?

Full time only. I definitely think it has a positive tone. Then again, every email I've gotten from them has had a positive tone, yet I'm still on the WL, so idk what to think anymore.

I got Magnolia's e-mail as well. Does seem positive as far as a non-acceptance e-mail goes. I was PWL and I got one of the small group e-mails, not that any of that seems to matter at this point. FT program.

I was PWL and "part of the small group" and got the less optimistic email. Sounds like you're right. We're all in the same boat now.

Not sure. I'd like to have the option, but I think I'm sticking with NW. The significant difference in class size is a big point for me. GULC's whole WL process has just confused me.

It is not positive. FYI no one reported being accepted last year on TLS after the June date. That's my memory. You can check out the waitlsit thread from last year. It is listed in the beginning of this thread.

I'm involved and I can't keep it all straight. I feel really bad for next year's 0Ls who'll have to read through this thread to figure out what to expect.

I was SPWL and got the small group email Monday. I just received this email:

Dear Magnolia,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to you today to give
you an update on the waitlist situation at Georgetown Law. We've
just finished taking inventory of the responses to our first tuition
deposit deadline. The response to this deadline was strong and,
consequently, we were only able to make very few offers of admission
to our waiting list candidates, primarily to the part-time program.

Although we don't anticipate any spaces becoming available until
possibly after our second deposit deadline on June 1st, it's always
possible that seats could open up sooner. We can't predict the
future, but if a few spaces do open up (and, no promises, but we
think it's likely that they will), as we have told you, we would like
to continue consider you as part of a small group to whom we will
turn.

As you know by now, we like to keep in touch. So we promise to be in
touch with another update by May 26th. If you can't wait until then,
let us know. While selfishly we hope that you will be able to
continue to be patient with us, we also understand that many of you
are faced with deadlines at other schools, and that this may mean
that you will need to go forward with your plans elsewhere. If there
are any changes in your law school enrollment plans or summer contact
info, please let us know by email to lawwaitlist@law.georgetown.edu

I've been doing this a long time and my experience tells me that
things often change from week to week (with you and us). Please feel
free to respond to this e-mail with any information or updates that
you would like the Committee to have. We very much appreciate your
interest in Georgetown and your commitment to enrolling if you are
admitted. If you can hang in there, I promise we will be in touch
with updates.

Thank you again for your patience, and I hope my next e-mail to you
will begin the word "Congratulations."

I'm pretty sure TCR is to not pay attention to the stupid WL/PWL/SPWL designations because they are meaningless.

I just got a pretty much identical email

I count 9 of us reporting the somewhat happy email. There are probably at least that many people who got the email but aren't on TLS. Do we seriously think that 15 or 20 people are going to get in the next few weeks?

All the movement in the Harvard WL makes it seem like an upward exodus is possible, but I don't want to be too optimistic.

No one's reported it, but Andy and Sophia both used the word "primarily" in their email:

"we were able to make very few offers of admission to our waiting list candidates, primarily to the part-time program"

Sounds like they let a few people in after the review... Just none of us... I guess the wave of admits really did go out last Friday.
