sure this has already been answered, but how long does it usually take for them to respond?
I've been complete since late october... which I guess isn't that long, but it does seem like Texas is usually pretty quick.
I hope they don't think my LSAT is YP worthy; I actually really like UT.

You're probably going to get waitlist/YPed if you don't convince them you will actually attend. UT isn't known for YP, but I wouldn't be surprised if they put you on the waitlist to see whether or not you withdraw.

First acceptance of the season is in the bag. So excited! I was in my office, checked my phone (was on silent), saw a missed call from a 512 number, and checked my voicemail. Sure enough, a message from UT congratulating my on my acceptance. I think I yelled "yes" loud enough for everybody to hear

No mention of scholarship money in the message. Has anybody been offered $ after not being told about it over the phone?

I've been looking for info on their scholarship matching program but haven't been able to find much. Does anybody know what schools they consider peer schools and will consider matching scholarships from?

Why not? I think they do a soft form of YP. They may not reject applicants outright, but they could definitely put them on the waitlist if the school questioned the applicant's commitment. I have no evidence though. I'm just speculating. I see quite a bit of yellow within the green region of the LSN graph from last year.

I got a really generous amount of money without Dean Ingram's mentioning it on the phone. Definitely possible

That's good to hear! I don't want to seem arrogant or act like I'm entitled, so I'll just say that I would be really bummed if I didn't get anything.

I have stats that would make them think that there is no way I am coming to UT and no connection to texas and they let me in plus townes-rice. I love the UTexas process. UTexas and Duke are absolutely top notch admissions offices.

You should see the plaque in the law school commemorating the Ricky Williams scholarship. All the other plaques around it have etchings of old chaps in suits, and then there's the Ricky plaque with his crazy hair and a big grin.

Oh, my god, I picked the wrong day to leave my cell phone at home.

I have a meeting at 3:30 but I'm taking a bus home just to see... I am not being presumptuous, I am just acknowledging that I won't be able to do anything with knowledge that there is a possibility =/= 0 that UT called.
