In today, got a e-mail from the Co-Director of the Health Law and Policy Institute. Very flattered, tuition is the only thing holding me back. We'll see how it goes I'm in a very tough spot at this point I have offers from some great schools.

Waitlisted today. Major upset. Pretty much most schools have waitlisted me, and I really wanted U of H.

Decision Rendered-Denied. This one hurts, I guess my GPA was too much to overcome. Good luck to everybody still waiting.

Haha, my bad. Still waiting on Baylor, SMU, WUSTL, Texas Wesleyan and Texas Southern (it was my super safety), and I'm in at South Texas (only admittance), which is looking better every day.Marionberry wrote:lol thanks, but mine has been over for several months now. If you don't mind houston, STCL is a good school. Especially if you're interested in trial work. I would attend it before TSU or Texas Wesleyan, for sure. Good luck on the rest of em. Are you from Texas originally?jacketman03 wrote:Haha, my bad. Yeah, I'm from Texas, and my wife prefers Houston over the Metroplex, so STCL looks to be the winner. The only reason I would even consider TSU is bc I'm a veteran so Hazlewood would make it free, but I'm not sure that it would be worth it even then. And yeah, I'm interested in trial work, so STCL has been near the top of my list all along.Marionberry wrote: If you don't mind houston, STCL is a good school. I would hazard to say that even free TSU is a bad idea.jacketman03 wrote:Yeah, I'm from Texas, and my wife prefers Houston over the Metroplex, so STCL looks to be the winner. I would be inclined to agree with you, but my wife thinks free is free.Marionberry wrote:I would hazard to say that even free TSU is a bad idea.jacketman03 wrote:Yeah, I'm from Texas, and my wife prefers Houston over the Metroplex, so STCL looks to be the winner. There's certainly some truth to that, but TSU's reputation is so bad that you would probably be better off without a law degree, that with a law degree from there. At least you save yourself the opportunity cost.jacketman03 wrote:I would be inclined to agree with you, but my wife thinks free is free.

Waitlisted today.
I am not too surprised but still a little disappointing. I'd rather not wait until July to get an answer

I was upset until i realized that 1. I should have been denied and 2. there is still a chance.annalise20 wrote:Waitlisted today.

Scholarship negotiation letter will go out tomorrow...and I'll likely withdraw by the end of the week to free up a spot. Really wanted UH but can't stomach the in-state tuition.

One poster a few pages back had a $10k/year offer, but he also had a 3.7/169. If that's what it takes to get money at UH, doubtful anything's headed my way.

A decision in July would be great. August is what I'm worried about.txag10 wrote:I was upset until i realized that 1. I should have been denied and 2. there is still a chance.annalise20 wrote:Waitlisted today.

Re: University of Houston 2011
Agreed. If I end up at STCL, then a transition to UH wouldn't be difficult, but anywhere else would be impossible. Do they rank waitlist or anything along those lines?Mce252 wrote:A decision in July would be great. August is what I'm worried about.txag10 wrote:I was upset until i realized that 1.
