Deferred back in December. Was informed via email that I was admitted today. Did not submit any additional documents.

The decision for my application was deferred on April 12 and I promptly arranged a visit to sit in on a class, tour the law school, and meet with an admissions counselor on April 22. I'm still going to do these things on Friday, but having the acceptance makes it that much sweeter! I will definitely be attending in the fall. PM me if you have any specific questions.
Super congrats!! Yay.

I'm still in final review (over a week).

Thank you! I almost want to hedge and say that given that you've been in final review since the time the first seat deposit deadline has come and gone, you might be in good shape for admittance. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Just got admitted today after being out on the Wait List back in March. Without any scholarships though, I'm gonna have to decline, so we'll see...

Same. They said the packet is on the way, so hopefully there's money in store :)

is anyone else scared or phased by a 3.25 stip? Are you guys still accepting and enrolling? What's your rationale, jw?

I am wondering how competitive Kent is. Will it be hard to keep the 3.25 stip? Good luck to those still waiting!!

well technically you're going to need to be top 1/4 to maintain your scholarship with that gpa at Kent. That's pretty daunting to me

I'm tempted to submit a LOCI to see if that helps with my deferred status - the problem is, I really don't know what to say in it that could make a substantial difference.

I don't have anything else to submit - I've graduated, so no new transcripts, and putting together a completely new LOR isn't feasible at this point, so quickly. I already wrote the optional "Why Kent" essay, so I feel like I'd just be reiterating that.

I guess I'll just wait and see! Ugh.

I'm on the same boat! I've been deferred since 4/1 and I'm not sure what more I can do to gain acceptance. I'm getting so impatient! I wonder how many deferred applicants they take .... I guess we just have to keep waiting

I also got an email that I could be expecting a packet after being deferred.

I can't believe my decision is becoming less clear by the day. It's Case Western w/ 15k; Denver w 25k; or Kent w/ I presume nothing... I already paid a seat deposit at Case and they're re-evaluating my scholarship... meanwhile the Denver deadline is a week from today.

Anyone feel like telling me what to do?

Have you ever been to Cleveland? If so, the answer should be obvious. Kent or Denver FTW.

I'm partial to Kent (it's my #1 choice). I live in Chicago and went to undergrad here; it's a great city with everything to offer.

I agree, Chicago is amazing. My big concern is $ and a secondary concern is that everyone who goes to Denver stays in the mountain west. Granted it's a great place to be stuck, but I don't think I'm ready to set up shop forever either. I am assuming C-K doesn't give $ after deferment but maybe I'm wrong.

We'll both find out, because I was deferred on 4/12 and then accepted on 4/19...

If the diversity statement entails new information that will provide the admissions committee with a further insight as to who you are as a person (adversity overcome, personal growth), then it doesn't hurt.

Actually, I would say don't send it. LOCI and Rec. should help you. less is more.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
