Re: 2010 Splitters Application Thread
agora139, you are my numbers twin! Also in at Berkeley as a splitter off CR, which was surprising but also very exciting. (I'm from CA originally, but have been working OOS for the past few years...definitely want to get back near my family eventually.) My cycle is going pretty well so far, but I still haven't heard much about $$. Still no dings, but I'm sure HLS and SLS will take care of that for me soon!

Re: 2010 Splitters Application Thread
I know I am a high shifted splitter 3.5/168-->177, but so far this cycle has been kind to me (and I applied no earlier than January 6). Accepted at both CLS and NYU and in CR2 for Berkeley. Haven't heard back from the other 9 schools I have applied to and I am sure there will be a couple dings, but I am very happy. I also noticed with the CR1 round at Berkeley that a lot of semi-splitters were accepted (which doesn't usually seem to be their MO). I think this cycle might end up being more splitter friendly than usual due to the drop in applications and LSAT takers.

Just got WLed at GW. Thinking about withdrawing my app now. I wouldn't touch that school at sticker.

Not a news flash, but being a splitter makes for weird cycles. WL'd at IUB, 60K at WUSTL.

174, 3.30... so far only waitlists or have not heard from schools.
No rejections yet, no acceptances either.

Our numbers are really similar, and my cycle is going well also. Good luck with Berk!chasgoose wrote:I know I am a high shifted splitter 3.5/168-->177, but so far this cycle has been kind to me (and I applied no earlier than January 6). Bump. I want to see how my fellow splitters are doing. I added Brooklyn today. Four for four so far.Lawst wrote:
Weak splitter here - 2.8, 165 (highest LSAT). Had an earlier 158 LSAT that I think will be largely overlooked, given the big point jump. Non-trad student out of UG for 16 years. Good WE, decent softs. I applied in mid to late January, thanks to the slow release of the Dec. LSAT scores.![]()

Dude, if I were you I'd wait and reapply, your numbers are way better than your outcome. Refine your app and ED somewhere.

agreed, ED UVA... you will be golden. I feel like W&L hadno idea what they were doing this year. You are over qualified there.

WUSTL with 28k/year is a pretty decent option though.

You are having a rough time. Hopefully something pans out for you. I wouldn't think you have had such a rough go of it with your numbers. Did you check your apps for mistakes?Hannibal wrote:In:

Re: 2010 Splitters Application Thread
Yeah, many times. I didn't write any Why essays so it's probably at least partially my fault. People have read my essays and said they were good so I know that's not the issue. FWIW, I'd be very happy going to WUSTL and UIUC with the money I got so I'm not too upset. Not even sure I'd go to CCN sticker over either of them since I'm not gunning for biglaw and I'm employment secure.
