Maybe...I've already spent a lot of $$ visiting law schools back east. Does anyone know if they possibly give a travel stipend?Lwoods wrote:Missed this earlier; congrats! Think you'll make it out for an ASW?queenlizzie13 wrote:Got scholarship information as well $7.5k/year.

Does anyone know how open they are to negotiation? My 2 biggest offers are from schools that are ranked 10-20 places lower than OSU, and I'm afraid that might not be good leverage.

Does anybody know if our guests to the ASW get to attend and participate in every activity? I'm thinking about bringing the hubby but I don't want him to be bored in a corner twirling his thumbs during a mock class or something....

Congrats. Care to share your numbers and when you submitted? Also, do you know if your online status checker was updated significantly earlier than you received your email? I'm trying to get an idea if I should continually obsessively checking the checker four times a day or just jump when my smartphone buzzes with a new email.2014jd wrote:Long time lurker, first time poster. Re: Ohio State 2011 Applicants
Thanks for the congratulations everybody. I sent app in immediately following Dec. LSAT score release, and went complete/UR on 1/11. I got the email first then checked status checker, so I cannot say for sure which happened first. Although I received the email around 9:45 am, so status checker could not have changed much earlier. Numbers are slightly above their 75th LSAT% and slightly below their 25th GPA%.
I apologize for the vagueness, but I am still trying to figure out why some people on here choose not to disclose their stats.

They're probably afraid of out-ing themselves and either other classmates or adcoms reading these boards and figuring out who they are. I normally just round my GPA to make it a bit more vague.2014jd wrote: I apologize for the vagueness, but I am still trying to figure out why some people on here choose not to disclose their stats.

I'm another long-time lurker who finally has something to post. Accepted this morning via email. Went complete 1/31. I'm very excited and wouldn't mind attending OSU at all if the costs work out well.

Yeah, jeebus - with your stats, I'm not shocked they got back to you so soon. Congrats on the acceptance!wallacestevie wrote:I'm another long-time lurker who finally has something to post. Thanks a lot. I retook the LSAT in December and did much better than I thought I would, so I ended up completely changing my target range, but applying late. I'm also very debt-averse at this point so OSU might be a great option.

Re: Ohio State 2011 Applicants
Good luck! You applied just in time to be considered for the Moritz Merit Scholarship, which is certainly nice but very competitive (I applied but am likely a weak candidate due to my numbers). See the link I posted earlier in this thread for application information, though your numbers might be strong enough for them to consider you without a specific app.wallacestevie wrote:Thanks a lot. Stalking LSN, it looks like the highest awards given so far have been Diversity awards. If that doesn't apply to you, the highest leadership and merit awards reported so far have been $12k/year.
If you're particularly debt averse, you should definitely toss an application to IU-Bloomington (if you haven't already) b/c they have a very large scholarship fund. You may get a good amount from UIUC as well.
Congrats on your acceptance!

Congrats on the quick acceptance! LSN makes it seem at least 12k is headed your waywallacestevie wrote:I'm another long-time lurker who finally has something to post. Accepted this morning via email. Does anyone know about the rolling basis for scholarship. If you have not heard yet ,and applied early, will you likely receive less or nothing than the first batch of scholarships?

Does OSU send scholarship information with your acceptance notification? Or does it come afterwards?

Accepted this morning via email! I checked last night before I went to bed and nothing on status checker, so it doesn't change much before the email, if at all. I submitted early January, I believe, either way, wasn't complete until Dec LSAT came out. 166/3.45
