How many out there haven't heard yet (except those who just recently filed)?

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
I haven't heard anything since I received the email saying they had my application. That was only January 10th, or around there, though. So I haven't been waiting long.

Nothing yet, submitted mid-November and went complete fairly soon thereafter if I remember correctly.Emma1 wrote:How many out there haven't heard yet (except those who just recently filed)?

I didn't hear until April (3rd I think?) last year.
Just...don't try to think about it. It will come when it comes.

I feel like I'm getting nervous about this decision... So many qualified (and overqualified) people are getting waitlisted... Not that I didn't anticipate that, but still... Yikes!

Complete 11/11 and nothing yet here either. As posted earlier, they are about 4 weeks behind, so while 8 weeks is normal, they are at 12 weeks normal, with the usual variation before and after that.
Congrats to the recently admitted, though.

Any word of scholarships? Coming with emails, or in the later received snail mail package?

Also haven't heard anything since the complete e-mail I got on Dec. 23rd. Not that long ago, but it feels like it.

they may as well just reject me or WL me now and get it over with, I don't think they are going to be accepting me.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
I've been complete for two months. Some people have speculated that the slow turn around is due to a decrease in overall applicants. I'd like to think it's because they are taking a hollistic approach (optimist right? ) anyways this wait is killer! For example I got an email from Admit@NELS (New England School of Law...which was spam) and when I saw it at a glance my heart sunk thinking it was admit@NDLS....talk about cruel....

Yea, I didn't write why ND, and I think they will sense my hearts not fully in it.Emma1 wrote:Are you worried about YP?JenDarby wrote:they may as well just reject me or WL me now and get it over with, I don't think they are going to be accepting me.

Why not withdraw if your really not interested and concentrate on where you are?JenDarby wrote:Yea, I didn't write why ND, and I think they will sense my hearts not fully in it.Emma1 wrote:Are you worried about YP?JenDarby wrote:they may as well just reject me or WL me now and get it over with, I don't think they are going to be accepting me.

Because if they offer her a full ride it a) might be too good to refuse and/or b) would be good leverage for other programs.Emma1 wrote:Why not withdraw if your really not interested and concentrate on where you are?JenDarby wrote:Yea, I didn't write why ND, and I think they will sense my hearts not fully in it.Emma1 wrote:Are you worried about YP?JenDarby wrote:they may as well just reject me or WL me now and get it over with, I don't think they are going to be accepting me.

That would require some pretty high scores. Good luck to her!

Any fair amount of money would be tempting/at least good leverage. I'm retaking the LSAT on the 12th too, and with the speed of their decisions, might have an even better score to update my file with.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
I know that ND doesn't match scholarship offers but does anyone think that I could negotiate a 8k/yr scholarship based on the fact that other schools ranked both above and behind ND offer way more money for the Montgomery GI Bill Yellow Ribbon program? I am pretty much dead set on attending but I would be over the moon if I could get 8k per year from them and finish school with no debt. Thanks for any info you all are willing to supply. My numbers are 3.7/164. Best of luck to all those still waiting for decisions. Go Steelers.
