I just got my JR2 today. It was two weeks after my JR1 and complete torture, but totally worth it!!!

I had the same exact situation. Same exact JR1 time. I got my JR2 today.Lawschool10gurl wrote:I got a JR1 on the 10th of May and still haven't heard back. Why the long face from some? Isn't it great news that things are still moving despite me thinking (based on posts a while back and lapsed time) that they were done? Congrats to all who are in! Can we have some stats and other info from those who just got in?

JR2 today and attending. JR1 on 12/10 and JR2 today. Definitely one of the worst waiting periods of my life. I felt like I was the only one who didn't get the JR1/JR2 in the same phone call, so of course I panicked. So if this happens to you...there's hope!

sure. 3.9 GPA from top ten (non-ivy) private school. 170 and 171. No particularly stellar softs, entirely average. no transcript update, extra LORs, or LOCI either after my hold and waitlist. guessing my recs were pretty average also. i'm assuming it was my personal statement that got me in, because it was the only thing in my mind that really stood out on my application. it was pretty risky, but i guess it paid off.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2010
Interesting. If I remember correctly there was at least one other person who busted out a bold personal statement and chalked their WL-> in up to that- insofar as it's possible to draw conclusions from the limited TLS sample, it seems like JR really is affected by softs rather than numbers only (although obs your numbers are good).virginiagirl55 wrote:roundabout wrote:Why the long face from some? Yeah, talking about pleasepickme. Am I late to the party? I said "somebody else" because I remembered another person doing the same thing a couple days ago, but I could also be phlosing my phmind.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2010
Congratulations to all the new admits!!
Judging by all the new users who just got offers of admission, the waitlist must be huge
Good luck everyone!

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2010
This makes me jealous. And quite sad. How cool would it be to get a look into the Magic 8 ball that is HLS admissions and say, "Oh! THAT'S why I didn't get in!" Congrats, virginiagirl55: I hope to soon be Dorothy to TLS's poor Munchkins clamoring for some small sliver of hope.virginiagirl55 wrote:sure. 3.9 GPA from top ten (non-ivy) private school. 170 and 171.
