Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I got decision rendered today. Have rejections/waitlists gone out by mail or by email? I know someone said they received it by email, but I wanted to see if anyone got it in the mail.

Waitlists/Rejections have been by email according to LSN profiles. Always a few days after DR, though, so there's still no way to know if you're in the 1/11 boat. (i am too)

Kind glad I applied 1/4. Maybe they won't have so much drama with my group.

If all the DR 1/11s are the same decision (are they?), I'd be willing to bet that its an acceptance batch.

I apologize if this was discussed, but does getting an interview request mean that you are IN, unless you manage to screw it up? What is the approximate post-interview acceptance rate?

I think I remember reading somewhere on TLS that 8% got rejected and then the rest were pretty evenly split between Accepted and WListed. So no, you're definitely not "IN" but at least you know that they didn't laugh at your application- that counts for something, right?SAE wrote:I apologize if this was discussed, but does getting an interview request mean that you are IN, unless you manage to screw it up? I'm not sure how much weight the interview actually carries. FWIW, people with my numbers traditionally do very well at GULC, I was recommended for acceptance by my interviewer, and now my application has been held.

I had an interview with a Georgetown alumnus in December and have still not heard anything! (167/3.9)

When in December? It took a full 3 weeks for me to hear anything after mine... maybe that's normal?doopwooper wrote:I had an interview with a Georgetown alumnus in December and have still not heard anything! (167/3.9)

The 20th... I'm hoping I hear something soon, but considering it during the holidays, I'm assuming it might take a little longer.Katerina wrote:When in December? If Gtown asks for interview I'm withdrawing. I hate interviews. Any concensus on who they ask?

I think they tend to ask people who are, numbers wise, borderline. I think you might want to bolster your interview comfort level if you want to pursue law though, or you may have some awkward depositionsOli wrote:If Gtown asks for interview I'm withdrawing.
