If you're serious about going to a school at which you've been waitlisted, then you need to be prepared to deposit elsewhere and wait a long time.amohiuddin wrote:But it's getting awfully close, I got accepted at another school and the deposit is due in a couple of weeks. But I'm still waiting on WF, W&L and WUSTL. Any word on how I can standout? Thanks
Things that will help get off the waitlist ranked by effectiveness:
Retake LSAT in June>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Request interview>Visit>>>>>Write LOCI=Send additional LOR

Anyone have an idea of the class size WUSTL is shooting for? Curious

Having looked over all of the accepted students site:
THE DEPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE.
There are two instances on the site where the deposits are both referred to as nonrefundable.
One area of the site claims that the first deposit is refundable, but it also lists the deposit dates for 2012, which in the case of the first deposit are 2 weeks earlier than this year.

Yeah, I checked in the admitted student portal, I cannot find any link that I can place deposit directly. There is just one link i need to choose whether I accept the offer or not. So I am concerned whether the deposit is binding or not.scottidsntknow wrote:Yes but he/she means that before you pay the deposit, you accept the offer of admission, which differs than the offer of monies.Ricky-Bobby wrote:You pay the seat deposit through the admitted students portal, then you have through June or something to accept your scholly package.vanora wrote:Do we need to accept the offer first and then place the deposit? When I check WashU admitted portal, it seems we do need to first say whether we accept the offer and then place the deposit~any suggestions?

WUSTL's employment numbers are similar to its peers, and only a few points behind Vandy/UCLA/etc when it comes to FT LT legal positions. I don't understand your question.thevuch wrote:why arent WashU's employment numbers better. i would expect better than this 65-70% thing

You accept the offer of admission, and then the next page it takes you to is where you can pay the deposit.vanora wrote:Yeah, I checked in the admitted student portal, I cannot find any link that I can place deposit directly. i honestly havent seen anything on TLS to suggest any seat deposit is binding, ED is, but i think you can even bail on the 2nd one, youre just a dick for doing it, but there is no legal binding have to come have to pay tuition kinda contractual obligation in any of it

Praying for an acceptance tomorrow. They didn't do a Friday wave last week so I'm hoping this time tomorrow I can be planning a trip to St. Louis

Thanks all for the tips. I won't retake the lsat since i can't afford it right now. I will request an interview and send a LOCI, along with an additional LOR

However, putting 91 in your username makes me feel OLD.

Just think of how you will feel when all your new law school friends were born between 91 and 93.cron1834 wrote:163 URM = legit chance.
