How about JSinlieu (i.e., "in lieu of a JS2, I got waitlisted and now I am blue")?

Going beyond just today, when's the last time anything happened (JS1, JS2, ding, etc.)? December?paglababa wrote:Wait, just so we're clear there has been no JS2s, dings, waitlisting, or any movement at all today right? (Don't count JS1s as movement)

I think there were JS1s offered last week.

Really?? The charts say I should have gotten one by now. Hope that doesn't mean a ding.drawstring wrote:I think there were JS1s offered last week.
Theory: JS is coordinating with Columbia, Berkeley, and everywhere I've ever applied for a job to give me a panic attack.

Sure, but I suppose if I sit without a JS1 for quite a while I can then start to assume that I'm likely getting dinged, right?lawschool22 wrote:Everybody who is ultimately accepted does.Vexed wrote:Went complete yesterday... not everybody gets a JS1, right?

I have no source but I think it's 1200 interviews, 800 acceptances.Vexed wrote:Sure, but I suppose if I sit without a JS1 for quite a while I can then start to assume that I'm likely getting dinged, right?lawschool22 wrote:Everybody who is ultimately accepted does.Vexed wrote:Went complete yesterday... not everybody gets a JS1, right?

My new theory, especially since we seem overdue, is that JS is monitoring this thread, and she puts off JS2s whenever we predict a dayMort_the_Tort wrote:¿ tomorrow ?
Whoever predicted Thursday a few days ago looks like they may have made a good guess, otherwise it will be very surprising how long we have waited since the last round of calls.

About 860 are accepted. Every little bit helps lolnothingtosee wrote:I have no source but I think it's 1200 interviews, 800 acceptances.Vexed wrote:Sure, but I suppose if I sit without a JS1 for quite a while I can then start to assume that I'm likely getting dinged, right?lawschool22 wrote:Everybody who is ultimately accepted does.Vexed wrote:Went complete yesterday... not everybody gets a JS1, right?

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I'm not that surprised. I said a while back that they were probably going to wait longer than normal, because they wanted to see how the applicants were shaping up. My theory was they were a little disappointed with what they had seen so far, and would wait until more December people applied. Then they extended the application deadline, which made me believe this even more. Lots of people disagreed with my theory though FWIWpseu wrote:My new theory, especially since we seem overdue, is that JS is monitoring this thread, and she puts off JS2s whenever we predict a dayMort_the_Tort wrote:¿ tomorrow ?

That seems reasonable. It would be very unlikely to have to wait much longer (such as until after the next round of JS1s) though, wouldn't it? Seems like that would be a strong departure from previous years and from the general pattern other schools follow, but I haven't seen too much data tbh.lawschool22 wrote:I'm not that surprised. Forgot about JS1b. That's when you get an "interest call" after the JS1 but before they accept you. A JS1b is a JS2 as long as you don't screw it up.

That only happened before they accepted people off the WL last cycle. Whether you had a JS1 before or after you were JSW'd, they would do a JS1b to make sure you would still attend if accepted. Then you'd get the JS2 the next day or something.SplitMyPants wrote:Can you give a little more detail?TripTrip wrote:Forgot about JS1b. I don't understand why JSJK doesn't have more votes. Classic.
