I think things are slowing down now, I'd give it at least 2 weeks.

Do we need to accept the offer first and then place the deposit? When I check WashU admitted portal, it seems we do need to first say whether we accept the offer and then place the deposit~any suggestions?

It says on the accepted students site in the deposit area that you will get a refund up to May 1st, and if I recall correctly it said you have to decline in physical writing by that date for the refund. Check the site though.thevuch wrote:ugh

Also the first deposit is only $300 so if you pay it and then end up needing a refund, hopefully most of you will be ok without the $300 until you can get it back. Way better than places like GW with $1000+ deposits.cannibal ox wrote:This is relevant to my interests.scottidsntknow wrote:It says on the accepted students site in the deposit area that you will get a refund up to May 1st, and if I recall correctly it said you have to decline in physical writing by that date for the refund. You pay the seat deposit through the admitted students portal, then you have through June or something to accept your scholly package.vanora wrote:Do we need to accept the offer first and then place the deposit? Yes but he/she means that before you pay the deposit, you accept the offer of admission, which differs than the offer of monies.Ricky-Bobby wrote:You pay the seat deposit through the admitted students portal, then you have through June or something to accept your scholly package.vanora wrote:Do we need to accept the offer first and then place the deposit? I get in at STL at around 6am if anyone needs a lift anywhere. Preferably to a delicious breakfast spot.

People will withdraw. There's gonna be people that won't pay the first deposit, people that won't pay the second deposit, and people who will bail because they will get off the waitlist of some other school they'd rather attend. It ain't over til it's over.amohiuddin wrote:I got waitlisted today, any hope out there?

But it's getting awfully close, I got accepted at another school and the deposit is due in a couple of weeks. But I'm still waiting on WF, W&L and WUSTL. Any word on how I can standout? Thanks
