Thanks so much! I only got my status checker on 1/13 so, not only am I shocked I got in, I can't believe how quickly I did. Did not get the email, since I obviously had not been waiting that long for a decision.

I will say that an associate I work with who is a Mich alum sent an AMAZING email on my behalf directly to Dean Z last Friday, who responded that she would take a closer look at my app. So, that was huge.

Does the status checker only update once a day? i.e. On the day your decision is made, does it say complete first and then later the decision?

Michigan, you are my #1. Please, give me a chance! I won't let you down. All of those other smug douches that you let into your beautiful quadrangle--they don't respect you! They say they want some other east coast girl with a funny dialect speech impediment. I know you could learn to love me, even if I do live in Texas! I am a Michigander in my heart of hearts!

The following represents my current state:

Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby...
Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me...
Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on - call my name
Will you call my name?

I was admitted before the status checker change, so I can't say for sure what it is now, but mine still says "Complete".

Complete

It seems to me that Michigan is letting in big GPAs right now. I don't have one of those.

FML

I'm getting to the point where I'm over it. Seriously.

Yeah, agreed. It looks like the majority of those accepted over the last 3 weeks have been at/above 75% for GPA. Maybe they went a little too all in on traditional splitters early in the cycle.

I would love a UMich acceptance, and could absolutely see myself going there. However, I don't know if I want to stress out over it for another month or two. Application "complete" for 3 months now.

I promised myself I wouldn't go crazy. I promised myself I wouldn't obsess over the status checker. I promised myself I wouldn't complain about being complete until the end of time.

But here I am with a complete date back before Christmas, STILL SITTING ON COMPLETE and I'm GOING CRRRRAZY.
