Do you have any reasonable basis for believing that the last batch have already gone out? Just curious...Nulli Secundus wrote:They went out alreadyAqua wrote:any idea when the last wave of js1 invites will go out?

If you get passed over with the first round of JS2s after your JS1, are you essentially out?

+1. As a few people already said, considering the number of people held and the sample size on LSN being significantly smaller than last year, it is likely that there will be a few more batches.Doorkeeper wrote:No, he's just being pessimistic.sallymae89 wrote:Do you have any reasonable basis for believing that the last batch have already gone out? Joining the no JS2 bunch. I'm trying not to assume anything yet (though admittedly, going over my interview constantly in my head and it seems worse every time).
If it turns out that today was the only day for last week's JS1's and she is already done calling for the day, though, does not getting a JS2 mean we'll likely wait until the April final decisions are sent out to hear a Waitlist or Rejection? Do people get straight rejections after having an interview?

Congrats to the JS1s and JS2s!! If you had a JS1 and didnt get a JS2 there is certainly still hope! Just ask Byzantine. And as people already pointed out, Nulli is just being a pessimist.

Nah, I think there will be at least one more round of American JS1s with a few people in it. And I don't expect to be one of them, so I'm not just comforting myselfPopTorts13 wrote:

I'm talking JS2... yes, consider hope for yourself. Me? Not so much...snehpets wrote:Nah, I think there will be at least one more round of American JS1s with a few people in it. And I don't expect to be one of them, so I'm not just comforting myselfPopTorts13 wrote:

Where you at Byz?? I need some pointers on how to deal with this sharp pain in my chest. The taste of failure surely stings.Onthebrink wrote:Congrats to the JS1s and JS2s!! Cheer up PopTorts! You are great and I am pulling for you. Just be patient...we will make it through! Think about waitlist at this point, it is actually not that bad. Their waitlist is pretty active.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
JS2s as well. I feel like there were several people in thread from last year that had late JS1s and then a break between JS1 and JS2. Not trying to give you false hope, just saying I doubt you should give up hope yet. Obviously if they gave you a JS1 they liked SOMETHING about youPopTorts13 wrote:I'm talking JS2... yes, consider hope for yourself. Me? And lol, I'm not particularly hopeful for myself. I'm a K-JD, for one thing, and people with numbers extremely close to mine were flat-out rejected. I keep considering withdrawing but obviously it would be silly to not just wait it out

Hang in there, PopTorts! I'm in the same boat as you, so I know how tough it is to get so close. Great things for you in the future I'm sure!

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Oh that's definitely (hopefully) possible, as is not all the JS2's for one batch going out on the same day. I was just wondering what's likely to happen if the JS2 doesn't come. Out of...curiosity! Not paranoia! I swear I'm not transparentbk641 wrote:it's only 3 o'clock, don't think we're done for the day.

Are you currently in the States? Maybe the time difference thing is delaying their call for you?
