Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (wearable gadgets poll)
Do people know what kind of laptops they're going to get? I'm incompetent with computers and need advice haha
I like dell. Think I'm going to get windows 10 pro with it since I saw Duke recommended that route. Am I making a mistake?

XPS is really good, Thinkpad is really good. It was between the 3 but I went with the sp4 because it was really cheap (relatively) and I have a desktop so I could focus portability over functioncantyoloforever wrote:Do people know what kind of laptops they're going to get? Just learned about the HP probook, which comes with windows 7 pro. How necessary is it to have a laptop with enterprise capabilities? I'm just going off the university recommendations (also want to make sure my laptop is okay for exams)Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:XPS is really good, Thinkpad is really good. Love having a really nice desktop. Laptops annoy me and are simply a means of getting by when I'm not homeDr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:XPS is really good, Thinkpad is really good. Would anyone be willing to give a quick look-over to a LOCI I'm drafting?

I have given up on February as a month for decisions, so I got a really important question for y'all:

I'm actually a little worried about this myselfTexasENG wrote:I've never re-read the original trilogy, but when I was young it seemed like the most profound series I had ever read. By this logic most subs, hoagies, and proper philly cheese steaks are not sandwiches either. This implies a massive sandwich identity crisiscanafsa wrote:Sandwiches consist of two seperate and distinct pieces of bread. Yes! I used to be firmly in the "hot dog is not a sandwich" camp until I had the hoagie revelation. Now I don't know what to thinkforum_user wrote:By this logic most subs, hoagies, and proper philly cheese steaks are not sandwiches either. Yea either LSN was overly optimistic about my numbers or my personal statement and letters of rec sucked. I got waitlisted at two schools I (supposedly) had over a 90% chance of getting into and the only schools I have gotten into have been 100%- not ideal. Do not know how much I trust their predictability. Or maybe their percentages take into account waitlist acceptances? Either way, big bummer.

So if I have one piece of bread and peanut butter and jelly on top, without a piece of bread on top, does this mean it is not a sandwich?
What is it then?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
