Did you just get the email? And to all of those that have received responses, were they all sent in the a.m. or in the afternoon? It would help my sanity to not incessantly check my email every 30 seconds...sidhesadie wrote:I was placed on the summer waitlist off reserve. Not sure what 'summer waitlist' means, if anything different than just...waitlist.
167/3.82
*shrug* whatever, add it to the list of five bazillion waitlists I guess.

You just have to set up a forwarding address to your mobile number's email address (--LinkRemoved--), then you can set up a filter to forward all emails to that address that contains 'Cornell'.

You've already interviewed?
I don't want to sound rude or anything, but why would a second one make any difference?

Any end of day movement to report from those who went under review on 06/02?

Are interviews for people on the waitlist over the phone or in person?

All of these 167/168s getting in are making me depressed about my chances.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I just checked my status and my application has been "withdrawn." I did not receive an email informing me. I was placed on reserve 3/29 and had a 3.4/169. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Its certainly surprising given that mine was the first in the batch (or so it seems). But theres no real difference between our apps numbers wise as far as cornell is concerned, and holistic wise I didn't have an academic rec and had a downward grade trend, nor did I express a specific interest in Cornell. I have to think youll get in eventually and I'm certainly rooting for you.Kabuo wrote:All of these 167/168s getting in are making me depressed about my chances.
I will note that they do not seem to be in a rush at all. When I was let in they gave me two days to decide if I wanted to explore attending (ie go through the finaid process etc. etc.) and THEN decide if I wanted to commit.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Thanks, and that's what I think too considering I have an upward trend and 2 academic recs, plus an expressed interest. It's just been so long and it seems like everyone getting in is a reverse splitter or below both medians (think I saw a 167/3.5)splitmuch wrote:Its certainly surprising given that mine was the first in the batch (or so it seems). I was wait list from reserve. Under both medians with a re-take pending.
Cornell must take the holistic approach thing seriously, as I'm sure other top schools do.
