To quote from the FAQ pdf that was included with my interview invitation:melamine wrote:aaah - just got the Georgetown Law Interview Invitation e-mail. so can someone give me the 1-minute refresher on this? It says it won't impact negatively if i refuse the invitation, but do you think this is true? lol. does everyone get the interview invitation, or is this a yield-protect strategy?
submitted app. around Jan 8th, currently application complete - complete updated to 2/8.
Basically...unless you're absolutely incapable of interacting with other human beings, you should interview. From what I can gather, interview requests are sent to marginal candidates (mostly splitters), so any chance to impress the admissions people is something you should do.Although not required, if invited, we strongly encourage you to schedule an interview. Interviews
provide the Admissions Committee with additional information about your interpersonal and
communication skills, maturity, and motivation. Interviews also provide you with the opportunity to
learn more about Georgetown Law.
aah okay. i mean, i know georgetown says a lot of things, but it doesn't mean i'm going to trust everything they say. thanks for the info - i think i will set up an interview.edgarfigaro wrote: To quote from the FAQ pdf that was included with my interview invitation:

Can't say for certain, but in my experience, got the email, replied to it, and next day the alumnus emailed me for an interview that week. All in all, pretty efficient.melamine wrote: aah okay. i mean, i know georgetown says a lot of things, but it doesn't mean i'm going to trust everything they say. thanks for the info - i think i will set up an interview.
only possible downside - they said it can take like 2 weeks for interviews to be set up... i don't want to set up an interview if it means that the # of spots left drops drastically... ah well.

No UR status. just "Application Completed [date]" updates. No standard for how many it takes to get a decisionjrose5 wrote:Wait, maybe I am worrying prematurely... I went from Complete 1/28 -> Complete 2/08. I never actually went to UR... will G-Town show UR as a status?
