I was waitlisted at Gtown and accepted at ColumbiaRParadela wrote:Been a bit weird for me as well. Got waitlisted at two schools where I had a 80+% chance of being accepted and got into a school I was right on the fence with w/ a scholarship in 3 weeks.Thelaw23 wrote:So it's like confirmed, this is the weirdest cycle in a while?
Wouldn't be surprised if I got WLd at Gtown and then accepted at Columbia
I realize YP is a thing

What do you guys think is the best virus protection for a PC? I'm going to get a new laptop before LS but I've had problems with viruses in the past and I want to make sure this laptop lasts.

Avast and COMODO's combined power is pretty great.ashrice13 wrote:What do you guys think is the best virus protection for a PC? I'm going to get a new laptop before LS but I've had problems with viruses in the past and I want to make sure this laptop lasts.

If I admit now that I've been a Barca fan for a very long time, will you believe that I am not on the bandwagon?

I say this fully aware that I may spark a large Mac vs PC debate on this forum... but I would suggest getting a MacBook. I have had my Mac for 8 years and it recently went kaput (over the weekend and because I spilt water over it). Never got a virus!ashrice13 wrote:What do you guys think is the best virus protection for a PC? I was thinking about possibly making the Mac jump but I need to do more research/price comparisons. I think I'll probably still end up with a PC but getting a Mac is not out of the question.Litt1tUp wrote:I say this fully aware that I may spark a large Mac vs PC debate on this forum... but I would suggest getting a MacBook. Do you not need virus protection at all? I thought it was more of a "you don't need it as much so just get the bare minimum" kind of thing.
I clearly have failed my generation by knowing so little about computers.

I've been a Real Madrid fan for a long time and everyone thinks I'm a bandwagon because I look like a normal Anglo American, but my great grandparents were born in Madrid so my fam has always supported Real Madridnimbus cloud wrote:If I admit now that I've been a Barca fan for a very long time, will you believe that I am not on the bandwagon?

I've been a (bandwagon) Real fan since the Roberto Carlos days so I think I've been grandfathered in by now

My cycle has definitely surprised me as a splitter. So far I've gotten into two of my reach schools with decent scholarships, but my target schools are either waitlisting me or giving me no money. I don't know if it's unexpected in general, but it definitely was for me.

Thanks Columbia for deciding I'm not actually complete weeks after I went complete.
And no, I will not be tracking down an employer LOR in mid February.
