Have been more of a lurker than a contributor on this thread but just booked my tickets for the April 4 ASW!! Can anyone recommend a hotel that people have been/will be staying at?

Anyone think that I'll have any success in try to negotiate for a later deposit deadline? With the way my cycle is looking, there's no way I'll have all the necessary decisions/aid packages by April 15th. Maybe May 1st like a lot of other schools?

WUSTL is so understanding overall, I would be very surprised if they don't give you an extension.mt2165 wrote:Anyone think that I'll have any success in try to negotiate for a later deposit deadline? FWIW, I tried to get an extension and got shot down. I may ask again though as we get closer.John Everyman wrote:WUSTL is so understanding overall, I would be very surprised if they don't give you an extension.mt2165 wrote:Anyone think that I'll have any success in try to negotiate for a later deposit deadline? I have a slightly higher scholarship than my stats would suggest. So yes I hope.BentleyLittle wrote:With success, I hope?chingwoo wrote:I sent negotiation stuff before the last round of scholarship bumps.BentleyLittle wrote:Anyone negotiate yet?

As far as negotiations go, I hope they'll at least consider me. I sent them my offers from UIUC($$) and Notre Dame ($) and I'm hoping they'll at least match Notre Dame's offer considering they're pretty much peer schools. Objectively ND and WUSTL are about the same, but I'd just like to go to WUSTL so much more. I just need the financials to make that feasible...

I get into STL on the 3rd. The HIGH that day is 57 degrees. I haven't felt 50 degree weather in like 3 years.

...because it's always colder where you are, or warmer? (Minnesota here, went through a 1.5 month stretch this winter where the HIGH was A NEGATIVE NUMBER)

I live in Arizona. It's 87 today. Happy first week of Spring! Or as we like to say in Arizona, happy second month of summer!

You'll be fine. Just a light jacket or something, windbreaker would probably do the trick as well, but light jacket would be more comfortable.Austinbound wrote:Lebrarian_Booker wrote:

This is not going to be fun.
It's 68 here today and I'm shivering.

I don't know what all this babbling is about. Started my car this morning in 20 degrees. I'm packing shorts and tee shirts for this vacation!

I'm sitting here in Michigan and it's 24 degrees with 15 mph winds. 50 degrees sounds pretty damn good rn.XO_MissCourtney wrote:+1Austinbound wrote:Lebrarian_Booker wrote:Austinbound wrote:I get into STL on the 3rd. The HIGH that day is 57 degrees. I haven't felt 50 degree weather in like 3 years.
