You know what SUCKS? My position right now.... DLS and called after 5 pm so no response in the admissions office. I guess I'll find out WL or ding tomorrow!

DLS, but don't want to bother calling. Considering just throwing the letter away without opening it when it's delivered

Was last admit interested in PI?koalacity wrote:wtrc wrote:From what I've heard (KoalaCity is the Researcher in Chief here), there are no outright admits, based on past cycles.ianfaircloud wrote:Will Stanford admit anyone outright at this point? Or is it all wait-lists and rejections from here? (Also, do you have evidence for this? Or is it just a guess?) Went UR on 1/22.
But Stanford DID admit someone last week, and this bucks the trend, so it's not totally clear.this counts as legal research, right?
But yeah, the admit last week was unprecedented (at least in the last two cycles)-I think Stanford did things a little differently this year, possibly in an attempt to boost yield*.
*my only basis for this is baseless speculation.

I just don't get what is taking so long. It seems to be picking up, but does it really take that much time to decide whether people are dings or WLs?

DLS earlier this afternoon (4:50pm PST). Called, and it's a WL!!!!!!!!
I've NEVER been so happy to get a waitlist in my life. And even though I'm in at H, I would go to SLS off the waitlist in a heartbeat
Oh, and slightly below median GPA, below median LSAT. Non-URM. 11/15 complete.

If folks could give complete dates with their DLS, that would probably be helpful

just realized i care more about the fact that you can no longer get those candybars in the US than i do about stanford rendering a decision on my file. guess it's time to withdraw.Power_of_Facing wrote:This is Nutrageous.lastsamurai wrote:you're still here too toast?? this is outrageous amirite?andapieceoftoast wrote:UNDER REVIEW MEEEPPPPP

Still alive. Complete 11/25. I suppose those of us who are still left are truly in the mix for admission, albeit probably from the waitlist. What a strange experience this has been.

How bad is it that I am now refusing to withdraw on principle? It feels like playing into their hands somehow...wealtheow wrote:

Still floating. I think I've legitimately made myself sick from all the speculation and stress. I've went from not wanting to see DLS to almost wanting to see it in the hope for a WL to not even knowing what I want to see now. The only cure I can think of for the stress is the California sun and some palm trees. I'm really hoping there's still some straight admits left, even though that seems crazy.
