It's alright! It is what it is. May be easier if it is a ding. But secretively hoping for a WL and riding it out.

Sorry R6. I can't really think of anything worthy to say, so i'll just say you are a really good guy and i'm glad we went through this together. I wish you nothing but the absolute best. I'm still alive, but I will probably be joining you soon.

Thank you all, you guys are all incredibly nice.

To use a romance analogy: if it is true love, it will find a way. If it doesn't, then it wasn't meant to be. I am happy to have had the chance to post in this thread. Whatever the outcome, I will do great. I will probably be hanging out in Palo Alto in 3 years regardless of the outcome.

Someone just told me that a bunch of people last year literally just never heard anything from Stanford. No wait list, no ding, nothing. Can anyone confirm or deny this report?

Well without status checker, and with them only sending 1 notification, it is entirely possible that many people never got anything.

I never got a letter from Yale last year.

Oh noes! This is my worst fear--that I will literally never hear back from Yale and Stanford.

Right, because if you DLS without a letter, you will call/email to find out. Last year you probably just never knew that you got a decision and was just not notified - if it happened like that.

Don't worry about Stanford, you have a checker which will update eventually.
