So after the JS1, is there any reason to look at the status checker?

I don't think so -- my checker updated when I was admitted I think, but the call came at the same time.Nooblarzlarz wrote:So after the JS1, is there any reason to look at the status checker?

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Hey guys, I hadn't created an account until now, but had browsed some posts- I'm not up on TLS lingo but I believe you refer to that as "lurking." Anyway, I had my JS1(? interview) on December 20 and, like most of you, have been waiting impatiently to hear something since then.
The question I have is: I see people posting their GPAs in here, but I haven't been able to figure out if they're talking about the GPA on their official transcript or the GPA LSAC gave them. My LSAC GPA is slightly higher than my transcript GPA, but enough to take me from below the median to just below the 75th percentile. Can you tell me which GPA HLS looks at?
Thanks, and good luck to everyone!

Is it only for Harvard College people? HBS has a similar program which is open to students from any school.wtrc wrote:This is old (from the late spring), but I hadn't seen it before. Median to 75 is .07 points, so that's not really "slightly" different, but the good news is that the LSAC GPA is the one that countserm15 wrote:Hey guys, I hadn't created an account until now, but had browsed some posts- I'm not up on TLS lingo but I believe you refer to that as "lurking." so I went complete on 12/2, but still have not heard anything yet. Does this mean that I'm pretty much out? I took the LSAT twice, 171 (2012) and 175 (2013 OCt). Does HLS see me as a 173?

No and No. Be Patient, young Jedi. They will look at your 175. Take a look at the spreadsheet in the OP for approximate wait times.1278 wrote:so I went complete on 12/2, but still have not heard anything yet. Does this mean that I'm pretty much out? Both of these seem good to me! (well depending on what your gpa is).1278 wrote:so I went complete on 12/2, but still have not heard anything yet. Does this mean that I'm pretty much out? I took the LSAT twice, 171 (2012) and 175 (2013 OCt). Does HLS see me as a 173?

Thanks LS22! Well according the spreadsheet, the (current) average time from complete to interview request is 13.8 days. My waiting has been more than the double of 13.8 days, holidays excluded. No GPA -- international applicant, transcript evaluation: "above average".paglababa wrote:Both of these seem good to me! Oh I haven't been on the spreadsheet for a bit, I didn't know it was 14 days currently. You're at about 23 days since complete (you really have to take out two weeks for the holidays I would say) which is well within a reasonable range. You're not out of the running at all.1278 wrote:Thanks LS22! Well according the spreadsheet, the (current) average time from complete to interview request is 13.8 days. And by all anecdotal evidence we have, they do not average.
