Nah, you don't have to call, what you said sounds right.masked kavana wrote:I think 5 eastern time but I can always call and ask I'm sure it can't be any more awkward than my last couple of phone calls with them.gaud wrote:Lol. Please let there be one more mini wave of acceptances.

Based on last year it looks like right around now was when they sent out a couple more acceptances and made the summer waitlist. So hopefully there are still some spots.

Hadn't checked my email in a couple of hours -- I got dinged at 2 PM central. It's surprisingly liberating, although disappointing.
Good luck to the rest of you wherever you end up! My cycle is over at long last! Woo!

I think Cornell might now be able to raise its medians to T14 levels:

No doubt this is a lot of money, but please dont think its gonna suddenly lift Cornell into the upper echelon of the T14. $25 million is a nice chunk of change but it doesnt exactly change the configuration of a univerisity.

you realize that Rubenstein gave 10 million, and now has gpa medians higher than H&S?Zionman wrote:No doubt this is a LOT of money, but pls dont think its gonna suddenly lift Cornell into the upper echelon of the T14. Not sure which school ur referring to, but that 10 mill, alone, is unlikely to have caused that change. NYU made a huge push up because of fundraising, but the number was way, way higher than 10 million.Ruxin1 wrote:you realize that Rubenstein gave 10 million, and now has gpa medians higher than H&S?Zionman wrote:No doubt this is a LOT of money, but pls dont think its gonna suddenly lift Cornell into the upper echelon of the T14. Ruxin1 is referring to Chicago, and the Rubenstein scholarship played a very large part (almost exclusively responsible) in raising Chicago's GPA median to insane levels as well as increasing expenditures per student.Zionman wrote:Not sure which school ur referring to, but that 10 mill, alone, is unlikely to have caused that change. Cornell e-mailed me and said my application was in review, along with "we'll have an updated decision for you very soon."gaud wrote:I'm thinking we'll begin to hear tomorrow. No data to support that, just a hunch.atp17 wrote:Really.. Still nothing??
