Definitely! I've mainly been a lurker, but this thread has been my favorite by far.

many of my television shows are coming back from hiatus soon, so i can stop obsessing over admissions.
but until then, here's to the start of another business week!

I find it healthier to compete in things you can control. I would have never been a pro in, say, figure skatingcardinals1989 wrote:

I think you're right...That's why I kinda stopped going on TLS frequently... Cycles are unpredictable and I am happy that I have opportunities that many others would kill for.cardinals1989 wrote:

It's time to work with what I have...and focus on those schools that really want me....

I guess we're not really expecting anything today since ASW is still going on?

From what I hear, after breakfast most of the planned events are over...I would expect admissions to be getting back to work on the files.juliachild-ish wrote:I guess we're not really expecting anything today since ASW is still going on?
Also, reread some of the SLS 2010 thread for decision waves, and here is what i got:
4/7-admit calls
4/8-WL
4/9-rejection wave, admit calls
4/12-WL
4/13-rejection, WL
4/14-rejection, WL
4/15-admit after WL letter denies further acceptances, WL
4/16-admit
So it looks like not all hope is lost for acceptances, although they are very few by now.

4/9 rejection wave... Are we safer now? Anyway, I should quit checking my status checker many times a day.cardinals1989 wrote:From what I hear, after breakfast most of the planned events are over...I would expect admissions to be getting back to work on the files.juliachild-ish wrote:I guess we're not really expecting anything today since ASW is still going on?

Just checked. DLS today. UR 11/9. I guess I will know whether rejection or WL in a day, since I live 3 miles away from the school. I hope the postman will not route my letter to some far away place and then send it back...
Oh, for everybody who is waiting to hear from Stanford, yes, they are working today.

I was rejected 4/1 and still haven't received the letter in the mail. It doesn't seem like anyone on that date received a WL though, so I guess it shouldn't matter.

DLS today as well. They're working. Just so I'm sure, DLS has never meant admitted, right
? Somebody should scour the last few year's threads for this information.

Just got DLS'ed... Bummer. You know I think I really woulda taken SLS over HLS if I had the option and some time to think it through.
If the DLS turns out to be a WL I'll let y'all know. And given how late it is in the cycle, if it is a WL, I'll promptly get off the WL, clearing room for other olympic hopefuls...
Best of luck to all.

I think I may have been DLS'ed for failing to post often enough in this forum, so I think the rest of you are safe.

DLS occurs when you get in, just only after a phone call or email. We wouldn't get this info from last year's thread, as they did not have status checkers last year.BackToTheOldHouse wrote:DLS today as well. They're working. Status checker, how I love and hate you. You are such a distraction, but yet I can not resist checking you all the time.cardinals1989 wrote:DLS occurs when you get in, just only after a phone call or email.
