It took me a few seconds to even understand this. How can you graduate with a GPA that low?

Don't think you can. But you could have done really bad, left, and started over at another school.

This makes me feel so much better about my GPA.
ETA: Seriously, how do you not think "huh, I should probably give some sort of explanation for this?"

False! My LSAT is below median, and my GPA is just about at their median and I was admitted. I think Northwestern isn't kidding when they say they look seriously at your work experience.

Agreed-- no way in hell I should have gotten in on LSAT/gpa.

I'm still hoping, but hearing nothing is certainly discouraging (especially since I'm getting waitlisted at other schools now). Oh well, I put a lot of effort into giving them a good app. If I'm still hanging on by February admissions better send me a Valentine email.

NU told me to wait 6-8 weeks from December 1 for a decision. Today is exactly 8 weeks later. Somehow I have a feeling I won't get a decision today.
I'll forgive you, NU, if you accept me.

I heard the pro-Chicago trolls are numerous on TLS. Let's hope they don't make an appearance on this thread...

So...I've only technically been complete since last Friday (because I did my interview waaaay late) but they've had all of my application materials since October. Any chance they would have gone ahead and looked at them?

Is today a decision day? If yes, do we find out late in the day? Thanks and good luck to those waiting for news!

Awww NU! I received an e-mail just now from a current NU Law student. Apparently NU asks 2Ls to serve as "contact points" who can "answer any questions admitted students don't want to direct to the admissions office." And they take care choosing their candidates, my contact point went to my UG and is pretty involved in student orgs, like I was in UG. She's nice in her e-mail and tells me what she does like about NU and that I can ask her any questions.
Maybe they are just trying to get us all to go...and if that's the case, it's working. I just got suckered. Now, if only they could throw me some money to make it an easier choice...*runs to file FAFSA*
