Thanks! I'm aiming to be the first lawyer and therapist... a lawrapist.
I believe lawyer-rapists already have dibs on that title.

Oooh. Those are very close to my dates.
Me, too. Columbia for some reason took much longer to get my app to completion than other applicants around my date, though. I applied on 12/29 and didn't go complete until 1/26. Looking forward to finding out if democrattotheend is the crest of a new wave or not.

Okay, you know what you do? You buy yourself a tape recorder, you just record yourself for a whole day. I think you’re going to be surprised at some of your phrasing.

And congrats, you lucky blue bastard.

democrattotheend wrote:My roommate just IMed me and said I got a big packet...not sure what color. Does a big packet mean good news? They wouldn't send a big packet just to say they rejected you, right?

On edit: She said it's like the color of split pea soup. Is that a good sign?

On further edit: I couldn't stand to wait so I asked my roommate to open it for me. She said it says congratulations, so I guess I'm in!
BenJ wrote: Congrats! When did you go complete? Let us know the date on the envelope when you get to it yourself.
I think I went complete around 1/21. I applied on 1/4. I just checked the postmark and it was 2/16. I thought it might have been earlier and held up because of the snow, but apparently not. So maybe I am the "crest of a new wave" as someone suggested. I hope so. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

rx3r's post was also pretty classic. :)

But I admit...I also didn't realize what lawrapist sounded like until Sogui pointed it out.

Just got waitlisted at Columbia. I've never been so happy to be waitlisted. 165/3.7 non-URM. Was expecting a flat out rejection. I guess their admissions are somewhat holistic. =)

I'm surprised this many people haven't seen Arrested Development. Greatest comedy of all time.

Originally, it was this, in the Yale thread:
Seriously, I am surprised that someone who is comtemplating Yale Law School has never heard of the word oralist in that context before.

To everyone who got wait-listed, did your letter specifically say "wait-list" or did it say "reserve"?

Nope, but I don't have the luxury of an excellent LSAT to fallback on georgina. I can only hope to join you one day, :).

Maybe it's finally the start of a new wave for Jan. completes?

I'm trying to stop looking at this thread, I don't know why they won't just send me my reserve/ding letter already.

Reserve group -- complete 11/10, 3.84/168 non-URM. One letter away from the CCN waitlist trifecta.
